i wanna work as an english teacher for a while at some high school or whatever..i just saw an ad for that yesterday and realised it was actually possible. the idea is now stuck in my head. once i've gotten my BA(which is in three more years...) i'll try and apply for like a year of teaching eng in korea or something before i go on to higher education(which i'm hoping to do in korea also...)

"Are you guys ready..this is what I'm talking about..you're trying to teach us..HELL NO! YEAH!!"

probably not too likely to get an internship in the entertainment industry... They don't need interns to do that dirty work because they get the new people who are trying to break into the business to do that. Plus... I imagine even if there was an internship opportunity available in the entertainment industry, it's not going to be a glamorous experience to say the least...

Watch out though... Korea has been flooded with so many native english speakers that the market has been saturated. The pay isn't as great and since you most likely wouldn't have a korean citizenship, I've heard of instances where people don't pay you or rip you off and you have no one to go to for help. Plus, if people are looking for a teacher that speaks english, you have a better chance being caucasian than as a korean american. Native koreans have the idea that a caucasian person would naturally be better at english...

if your school is a career oriented one, you might want to search with the academic offices there. I know my school for instance, has a study abroad program in korea for the business students here.
Your school probably also has recruiting sites. Check it out and see if it helps.

wow...that is quite a surprise though now that i think about it, i know i shouldn't be surprised at all..anyway, i'm not korean american. I'm asian but as far from being korean as possible. I hardly even know the langauge except to read and write in it. BUt thanks for the advice. I'll still stick to this idea until i come up with a better one to get myself to korea! ;-) hahaha..

ahhh, don't we all? yeah, i'm looking for an internship, too, in japan or korea... like i don't even want the glamor job, i'm looking for job in film/tv production, art department (set construction, set dresser, prop master, that kinda job) or even production assistant... why japan and korea, you might ask? cos their films are kickass and i wanna break into the industry... it's crazy that it's probably easier for me to get an internship gig in a major studio in hollywood than in korea/japan... i dunno, most of the korea and japan internships offered online are editing gigs and i don't have much experience in that area, so if you guys know anyone...
