I found it to be rather bad and predictable, just a mindless gore fest. I won't spoil it for those that haven't seen it but I wouldn't recommend spending money to watch it.

It was ok. But the killer was damn ugly XD

Yea it was BASED on a true story but it follows the story very loosely. For one, the real story took place in Wisconsin, and two, the real killer never used a chainsaw at all in his murders (how ironic)! Look up Ed Gein on google, I think you'll find it pretty interesting.

Yeah, loosely!! After my friends and I watched that movie, we were talking about the true story. They kept insisting that the whole chainsaw thing is real and that they're afraid to go to texas because some guy with a chainsaw might kill them. I told them otherwise but I don't think they believed me.
Anyways...I didn't find it scary at all and it just annoyed me that no one tried to fight back. They all just ran.
Threatres? Are you talking about the one that came out years ago?

Ha, what you see is not what really happened. For one, there was no family of cannibals. And two, there was no chainsaw-weilding psycho on the loose in Texas. It was based on true events but very LOOSELY. Like someone said, google Ed Gein.
