[EVENT] ONLINE BATTLE SHINHWA!

Dear fellow fans of Shinhwa, Kpop or just MUSIC in general,

Several Shinhwa fans at Soompi.com are hosting a “mini Battle Shinhwa” for ALL fans. Foreign or Korean, ANYONE can join. And this is how it works:

We have a panel of judges; each of them represents a member in Shinhwa. When contestants send in their clips, I will sort out those clips and assign the contestant a number (i.e. Dongwan1, Dongwan2 and etc.) And then I will send them to the appropriate judges. That way, the judges won’t know who you are and therefore cannot be biased. 

Here are the judges:

Dongwan --> Monika (thag00fiest)
Hyesung --> Misoo (Misoobishi)
Andy --> Julie (eternalxluvv)
Minwoo --> Stacey (.:: Stacey ::. )
JunJin --> Kate (kk12)
Eric --> Candice (kpoplvr)

Basically, each contestant is “battling” to become the next Minwoo/ Andy/ Hyesung/ Dongwan/ JunJin or Eric. If you’re battling to be the next Hyesung or Dongwan, you would send in an audio clip or you singing. If you’re battling to be the next Minwoo or JunJin, you would send in a video clip of you dancing. And if you’re battling to be the next Andy or Eric, you would send in an audio clip of you rapping.

The genre/songs/artists are all up to you. You do not have to sing/rap or dance to a Shinhwa song. It could be Eminem, Usher or even a song YOU composed.

All entries should be uploaded on YOUSENDIT.COM and sent into me @ NhanIsTheBest@hotmail.com or you can also simply PM me (my contact information for each forum will be specified at the bottom of this letter). And it would be greatly appreciated if you would save your file in this format:

____Ex: [MINWOO]NotGuilty[Soompi]_Nhan

Rules:

for that part..I'm icky about how I'm understanding this. Since JunJIn and Minwoo are also rappers/singers. It would be okay for the contestant to be sending in singing/rapping clips instead of dancing right?

B/c I would expect to be recieving less dancing vids than singing clips. :]

I think the Winter Story 05-06 was mainly all YesAsia. Good! never released an official statement as far as I know, although there was one about 8th jib I believe. So therefore, it was never really even said by Shinhwa or Good! themselves that WS3 was even going to be released. I think YesAsia merely assumed there would be another one, due to the "tradition" of a yearly WS. btw, i totally love your minwoo banner...

I think Andy is better now- he's might still be getting some treatment, but I'm not completely sure.

Okay. I am like, confused.

So the contestants are trying to *be* one of the Shinhwa members? What if they just wanna sing a song and not as a Shinhwa member or not even to a Shinhwa song? I thought there wasn't going to be dancing and only singing. And also... since I'm expecting most people would be singing than rapping, wouldn't, there'd be heaps entering as Hyesung/Dongwan (what about Minwoo? He can sing! ). And what if there's only like one person entering in dance or rap? I might have remembered wrong, but I thought we were signing up to be a judge like one of the members of Shinhwa?

I think for those who are not part of the forums...I would send their clips to ALL of the judges, with the labels [Unknown1] [Unknown2] instead of [Dongwan1] and etc. But of course, we would still want to know who they are, so it would probably just be:

__[None]_Name_What they're doing
Ex: [None]_NhanDo_Dancing

Encouraging them to be a member of those forums is absolutely fine, but there's no need for that.

Yeah, I was thinking that too, but since Eric and Andy don't really sing...iono..haha. But this is what I was thinking, maybe we should scratch the whole dancing for minjin, singing for wansyung part...we let the contestant decide whether they want to sing or rap or dance, but could still be trying out for all of the members...

Since we've even seen Hyesung rap..haha. it was cute...
and all the MEMBERS dance.
and they all sing..

so...the contestants are allowed to send in singing clips for eric/minwoo/junjin/andy too...

So all types of entries are allowed to be sent for any member.


If they don't know Shinhwa, or is just doing this for fun, they can use the [NONE]_NAME_CLIP TYPE format I had up there.

Calling All SHCJ'ers!

As we all know, Shinhwa will be releasing their soon to be ACE, FANTASTIC, SUPERDUPER, POWERFUL 8th Jib! Hooray~

At the moment, it has been confirmed that the approximate date for 8th jib's debut will be in March. However, there is no official date. Because each of the Shinhwa members are busy with their individual activities, the date is subject to change.

Along with the member "pockified", Mary and I have been discussing how we, as Shinhwa's most-loving fans, can help promote their 8th jib.

Shinhwa took a break in 2005 and unfortunately lost many fans to the newcomers such as Dong Bang Shin Ki, SS501, Super Junior, etc. These new bands are quite amazing and have stole many of the female fans all across Asia. ^^

So, it will be hard to get them back. So... the proposal is....

We make rounds all over the forums/websites on the internet to help promote Shinhwa's 8th Jib by:

1. Creating beautiful banners
2. Writing a post that talks about their upcoming album
3. Any others?

Please your input would be fantastic!
