Either I'm a reckless driver or I'm just not destined to drive. Ackk. The worst part is, I'm a senior already and uhm, it just sucks.

Test 1. Didn't make a full stop while turning right on a red light. Evaluator said it was a critical error, under "disobeys traffic signal".
Test 2. Made a "right turn in front of a car that they had the green light, they honked to avoid hitting us". Funny how I don't remember this at all. Critical error.

I've been taking all my tests right after school. I know that's when there's the most traffic, but I don't want to fall behind and have to catch up because of a driving test.

Ack. Am I supposed to renew my permit??? It doesn't expire until January though. The lady didn't tell me what to do. I tried making an online appointment but it said I couldn't...crud.

Any help would be great. Thanks!

a weekend would have less traffic..
but a lot of ppl woudl want to take in on a weekend, so you should call and schedule your test ahead of time
i think thats what i did, but i dont remember anymore.

u've got to really know the road rules and practice more often if u can. i dunno where u live or what the rules are there, perhaps u can ask someone with a full licence or something to guide u, and let u practice in his/her car. that will help more, cuz i did just that and i passed the first time smile.gif

when I scheduled mines...I did it during the school day and just skipped school to do it.

I had my test during the first HARD snow of the season...but I passed my first time.

Just make sure you follow all rules and you'll be fine.

you need to renew your permit if your next test is after the expiration, and just relax during the tests and overexaggerate every motion, like checking for cars and whatnot

you don't need to renew your permit until after the third time you fail...

dude, don't worry about it... I didn't get my license until last year... and I was a freshman in college :] just practice more and become more confident in driving. All you really need is the confidence.

critical errors are automatic fail right? Those are a pain in the buttcrack
I made a critical error on my first driving test just a few seconds before returning to the DMV too...but passed the second time though..

my advice would be to practice with a parent or friend who drives very carefully as they most likely won't make errors of any sort when driving on the road. Also ask questions (during or after) when driving with someone who has a license, but still pay attention to the road, because they could point out what needs improvements and such..

Duuude I'm in the same exact situation as you. Senior and failed my driver's license test twice. I don't think I'm destined to drive either. Or maybe it means we're gonna have chaffeurs when we're older, huh??

Test 1: Speeding. I went over 5 mph and he said I violated the law. He made me make a U turn and go back to the DMV. I think I nearly gave him a heart attack.
Test 2: Deductions. I couldn't back around the curb, and apparently I didn't turn my head enough. SO next time I am effing exaggerating every single head turn and everything. I hear that's the strategy.

I got same tester twice. I was praying for a different one on the second time. I think he hates me. My next test was supposed to be next week, but I rescheduled for the week after. I am scared to death that I'll fail again. I need time to heal.

Where I live if you don't pass by your fourth attempt, you need to retake the written test. I had to take that stupid thing 2 times before I finally passed it. So I NEED to pass my drive test.

Just practice practice practice. That's pretty much it. I need to drive more.

GOOD LUCK!!
Life is friggin' fantastic.

I guess it depends on the state?
In OR, you only renew it after it expires, not after however many times you fail.
How long are you supposed to wait until the next time you're allowed to take the test again? 14 days?
Take the two weeks and practice driving a bit more ^^
Read the book again if you have time to refresh your memory.
And remember to completely stop before the line.
And I remember when...

i went 40 mph the whole time
at the end of the test she told me i was speeding the entire time and could have gotten 3 tickets for going over the speed limit by 10mph, but i passed with a 71 (70 is lowest to pass)

my sister failed twice. she didn't understand merge.

Don't feel bad, I've failed my license test twice also. I'm afraid to even go back.

But I didn't even get a chance to get on the road. I keep failing parallel parking. That's the first part, and if you can't pass that you fail the whole thing.

it's better to go during traffic because it forces you to drive slow.

Funny how 2 isn't that much... when my high school friend failed it 6 times. He's gotten into 2 major accidents within a year. One of them totaled his car.

Then don't drive and save some accidents from happening.

I once had a friend where she would apply for the road test on the last day before a big holiday, like New Years or Christmas.
She passed in 5 miniutes because the intructor wanted to head off the party as quickly as possible.

um it wouldve been really serious if the driver of the other car hit you.. and you would be liable. have you taken driving school and practice with a instructer in the passenger seat? they will go over all the traffics rules which apply to your area while you drive.

just practice more and make sure you know what you're doing at all times
your second test made me wonder if you were really too nervous
since you didn't remember. either it's you or the person evaluating you
really doesn't like you lol......

Practice and practice, I guess. sad.gif I passed the writing test, and they told me that they'd call me whenever it's time for me to go out there and drive. >_<; (All this waiting drives me crazy!! TT^TT)

I'm a Sophomore (I should've taken it last year.) and it's my first time, so my dad let me drive his car around our house a few times. O_O; I almost had a heart attack. T_T; I almost crashed into a tree and a huge rock, and I almost ruined the garden. >_<;

That, and I really think going 5 mph is fast. XD Ahaha...ha... ha. ;__; I'm so nervous.

*hug* Good luck though!! >_<;
