Sandisk Sansa Vs. Samsung K5

Another mp3 thread!

I'm having a hard time which one to get, because the Samsung k5 is incredibly sexy and the sandisk looks really nice. Also, the features/quality is about the same, but a a bit better with the sansa.

The only major difference is the built in speakers and touchpad. I can help you decide.

Do you really really want(or need) speakers on your player?

If no then why not the sansas? I'm picking up mine tomorrow so I can tell you more about it. But what I just said is the only major difference.

i trust samsung more- they make great mp3 players. i've never seen sansa so i don't know >_<

I've had both.

I currently have the K5.

The Sansa is a REALLY nice player, and is deffinetely worth the 119+ you can usually find for it. GREAT battery life and the videos don't look that bad. Pics looked great. Music sounded good.

The k5 is really nice, the GUI is okay, little plain compared to the Sansa. Pictures suck on it. The speakers are really nice, you'll be suprised how much you'll use them. They get loud and sound great. It doesn't come with a case, so I haven't taken it to school yet, this thing WILL get scratched and i'm trying to avoid that.

Sansa - 9/10
K5 - 8/10 (Thus far)

LOL, I had the same dilemma, the Sansa or the K5 (or even the Samsung Z5). I decided I'd get the Sansa because I wasn't into the touchpad feature on the Samsung, even though sound quality on both is good. I'll probably get mine in the coming week - 6gb, cuz the store doesn't have the 8gb yet, bleh.

One question... can you zoom in on pics on the Sansa??? I couldn't find that feature...

No. Not yet anyways. Sansa and some other groups are going to be doing firmware upgrades so we might see it in the future.

I picked up my e270 today and I love it. Although I'm having problem with the gay Sandisk converter. Gonna try to fix it. The video is good for it's screen size. I'll post a review in the mp3 in couple of days, more or less, so look for it if your still trying to decide.
