I complained to my friend about my housemates and she told me that I complain too much tears.gif

One of the girls is starting to stink up the apartment. She doesn't use air freshner spray after taking a dump and it smells crazy in that tiny bathroom... And she just smells... She doesn't take showers often. Plus she stores food a lot and asks me if she can use my microwave a lot. Once I told her that I need to go to class and she said "It's only going to take a minute just let me use it" =_=;;;;; I can't go into her room because it stinks too much in there not that I care.

Another one never cleans any of her stuff up and leaves it lying everywhere, including her dirty underwear in the bathroom. Can you say EW? One time she left them in the shower ALL WEEKEND... Plus she invites friends over at any hour of the day, not considering any of the other girls in the house... One time her roommate was changing when she brought her friend in without asking =_=

Lastly another girl uses everyone's stuff without asking for permission all the time. She uses other people's computers to load music onto her iPod O_O;;; She took the free laundry detergent that our apartment got as a whole and got it stolen because she left it in the laundry room [she said she got HER laundry detergent stolen when it was OURS]. She uses other people's computers and printers and even cell phones [and she has her own computer, printer and cell phone].

I guess it's good to rant and let the steam off... But I'm this close to exploding [pinches fingers]

BAOI, you really talk as if you're being condescending. The vibe thats like glowing from you is the vibe that I get from most snobbish and stuck up people.

1) Comment on someones financial issues and the way the dress because of it

2) Criticise their misuse of language

3) Criticise someones choice to move out and not commute that 45 minutes.

Youre right about saving money, but the experience for her to move out may be worth more than just material things such as money. You get to develop a sense of responsibility and what is like to live on your own. Experience > Money any day.

You might want to tone down the smugness a bit. I don't think you'd like if someone referred to you as "One of those snobbish rich kids."

And I do sleep weird times, yesterday I didnt even sleep. Other days I wake up at 5 or 6 and its really awkward.

The suggestion about them paying you to clean up is a good suggestion. You might want to give it a try.

You could also try just keeping your stuff clean and let everything just pile up till the culprits will call the meeting to clean up. If I'm not correct though, most students just sleep in their dorm and are rarely there. Between work and school there isnt much time for hanging around in your living space other than for sleep or a bit of studying. Just bare with it until the culprits decide to do something.Simple game of Chicken.

wow you took that seriously.. I was a little on the sarcastic side when i wrote that..
So, are you saying that i am a snobby stuck up person?!?! wow, i can't believe you can judge
a person by just one reply......

Haha, besides.. it's her 3rd year. She lived in a dorm/apartment her first two years..
therefore, she doesn't need the EXPERIENCE.. she has enough of it already..

Anyways, thanks for picking me as the meanie in here.. This lesson has taught me that i should be nicer to them.. Nicer as in clean after them?? NO! But i'll try to be nicer.... haha

Your post did not really seem sarcastic, since that would hint that your roommates are in fact GOOD roommates.

Yes from your initial post that's the impression that I got. Mainly because of the "Poor kids who like to dress rich" comment.

Okay so maybe she prefers to not live at home for whatever reason.

I wouldn't have considered you a snobbish individual from the rest of your post, but that one comment about her social status pretty much said it for me.

I'm not saying you're a mean person, I'm saying that from that comment you seem to be snobbish and stuck up. Hopefully you don't take what I've said too personal. Just letting you know, its those types of comments that really bug me.

From your response, it seems like you were a bit taken back from my comment and upon that response, the way you worded it didn't seem to be snobbish. What was the reason for making a statement about her personal finances anyway?

wow.. well then, i am snobbish! If that makes you any happier. Plus, you don't really know me, but i accept the fact that Literally i may sound snobbish, but it really, i am a sarcastic person.. so a lot of people misunderstand me.. But i get this a lot.. it's not the first time.. it's fine with me.

My roommate instant messages me when we're sitting right next to each other.
And it's usually like, "I see you" or "I'M GETTING DRUNK TONIGHT".

I don't understand her mellow.gif

I hate my suitemates. I am getting a room change, and everything will be okay.... or at least I hope. If not, I'll just live in a single next year.
Thought I couldn't live without you
It's gonna hurt when it heals too
Even though I really loved you
I'm gonna smile 'cause I deserve to.

I had a roommate who i didn't talk to at all! There would be days we'd be in our rooms, him with his headphones and myself online chatting. Honestly, we said "hi" and that was it. He was white and myself asian. It's both of our faults because one of us should have initiated some conversation. It's what happens when you place two shy introverts in one room.

In hindsight, I should have talked to him. My regrets. He transferred after that one semester. He was a freshmen.

I'm sure he's telling his friend that asian people are sooo quiet.

haha i used to think my roommates were kinda bad until i hear about you guys' stories :3

i'm living in an apartment owned by the school which basically just means that my tuiton is paying for it X3 anyways,, i have two roommates! we have two bedrooms so luckily i got the single room instead of the double,,

roommate one is japanese(super fobby) she always buys 5000 kinds of ice cream, choclate cereal, cinnamon buns and then complains to me thats she's gaining weight..i thought we would be able to get along well, but she is ALWAYS with her boyfriend and he's always in my room~ i feel uncomfortable to eat dinner because they're always all over each other in that room so i cant even eat. she has thick thick hair and it's all over the whole apartment i don't even know HOW. it was at first just in the bathroom but i found a clump of it in my BEDROOM!! (>_<) she never cleans anything but overall she's pretty nice~

roommate two just came here three weeks ago~ she seemed like a really sweet innocent girl but she met a guy two weeks ago and already started dating him in THAT WEEK! she comes home every morning so i assume she's staying at his house, and she also brings him to our room without asking and he's like the rudiest and dirtiest guy in the world.. after he leaves the room he like omits some odor everywhere blaaaah her hair is also everywhere and i think she eats my food because she doesn't buy any for hereself. she also doesn't clean ANYTHING

they're both leaving at the end of this semester soooo~ :3

For the longest time my room mate would bring her friends over and let them stay past 2 a.m. They'd talk really loudly, laugh really loudly, watch tv really loudly. I'd have to wake up at 8:30 for classes and be super tired. Luckily, she doesn't do that anymore. Thank GOD!!!

aaahhhh soooooo

its 12:30am right now and my room mates just came back disgustingly drunk from a party
and now one of them barely has any clothes and is erm snuggling with her boyfriend

ah

and i was so tired and wanted to crash
so lets shhhaaaarre

the good, the bad, the ugly dish about our beloved room mates

i mean usually they're pretty cool

ah.. i know how you feel first year one of my roomates just made me lose all respect for her.. she never knows when to stop when it comes to booze and drugs.

second year is way better.. i'm living with 4 of my best guy friends and they are surprisingly very very neat... just them not cooking or doing dishes is the problem.. other than that it's all good smile.gif

My roomate is the most boring person i have ever met. in my entire life.

And she's dumb. she asked me what a contraceptive was when we were almost finished with our unit on abortion in philosophy.

She always sets her alarm about 1 and a half hours before she even gets up. so it'll go off and she'll go back to sleep. 20 minutes later, it'll go off again. this will happen 4 times before she actually gets up sometimes. it's really annoying.

in conclusion, she's boring and dumb. and i don't like her. =(

My room mate.. well, she's elder than me.. she's 22 but imo she's not acting her age... Her thinking does clashes with mine.. Even my housemates. Sometimes I wished I'm immature. lolz.

But i'm going to take the room by myself next month, YEAH! haha...

my roommate uses mothballs and it smells really bad. whenever my friends come overthey ask what the smell is - -+

she also talks on the phone. A LOT. she used to do it at like 8 am on saturdays until i asked her to talk outside of the room.

other than that, she's really nice and has the same level of cleanness/messiness as i do so can't complain. :]

Before, my roommate called and see if I was going to sleep at the apartment. It was weird, so I asked him why would he ask. He responded "Oh, because uhm....I'm letting you know I'm not going to be there either. Okay BYE!." I let it go because we were still sort of strangers and I thought he was high or something. Next day, I come in, there's alcohol everywhere, my OWN toilet seat has piss on the seat cover, and my bed smelled funny, like sweat. I had a inkling that someone slept on my bed, but I wasn't ABSOLUTELY sure. I asked him if anyone did, but he said no. Then I looked at him funny, then he was like "oh yeah, my friend was passed out on your bed for like 5 minutes but i told him dude, get off!"

A few weeks later, I'm chillin in my room in my apartment, and he calls again...asking the same thing exept in slightly different words. He brings a friend over. This friend sleeps in my other roommates' room. He tried to be sneaky and went into my other roommate's room while i was "sleeping." Figures out, my roommmate didnt ask my OTHER roommate if his friend could sleep there. I gave him so much s***.

Now, he doesn't ask me dumb questions. No one slept on my bed either.

If anyone has a problem now, we just say it directly. Everything is good now since we talk to each other about our problems.

roommies can be shady though.

my internet was lagging one time, and i asked if that roommate was downloading or uploading (which he usually does), and he replied "no." I disconnected his ethernet cable, problem solved. That lying punk. That's shady too but damn, he lied!

anyway, that was long. sorry. have a good day. :]

oh, we are. or at least i am vicx.gif

BUT i should mention that i lost my cool at my roommate the other day. told her i didn`t want her sleeping with other girls in our room then complaining that it was too hot and turning on the a/c even though it`s like two degrees outside. so now, i haven`t seen her in a several days... apparently they`re sleeping in the other girls room? works for me.
