I want some of these. i don't care which I just want them XD Hahaha!

So I want them but like... they're not avaliable in my area or in my company. Because I'm with Verizon Wireless. Like it would be pointless to buy it when it's not even gonna work. But is there a way for it to be activated in my area and/or company?

And I want any of the following phones hehe

Nokia 7360
IPB Image

Nokia 7370

Sony w600

So is it possible? Or am I hopeless? o_____o are these avaliable in Las Vegas? Maybe I could get it there when I got there in a couple of months hehe.

Yes, It's harder to find the two nokia's but I've seen people with them... but the SE is/was a standard phone from Cingular. So basically you have Verizon which is CDMA and you need a GSM provider which is Cingular or T-mo. That's the only real solution.

^Yeah I think that's the way to go. My mom was thinking of changing our providers.... which is better? T-Moblie or Cingular?

So If I were to switch would I be able to use those phones?

@shinhwasan: I knows.... Dang Verizon =.=

depends on their coverage in your area. certain regions have more tmo coverage than cingular and vice-versa. just check what kind of coverage they seem to have in your region and then go with that. Either service will work with any of those GSM phones, but ya, that one SE is actually a supported and branded GSM phone for cingular, the other two are probably easiest to get either factory-direct or through an independent cell provider.

^REALLY!? Wow..... you sure know like ALOT about Cell phones o_____o *bows down* LOL

So... Let's say I switch to T-Mobile and then I buy the Nokia 7370 right? And I asked someone from T-mobile if they could activate it for me... Would it work? Or does it depends on where I live?

Ummm I think the phone need to be unlocked, which is probably how it would be... or at least it would be set up for NA carriers if they sell the nokias in the USA, because I'm pretty sure if you just get your hands on like a nokia 8801 direct from nokia you can activate it on tmo either through a tmo store or through some indie store that sells all sorts of phones. I just don't know how much company stores like activating phones they didn't sell to you, I've never dealt with it, but I'm sure you can pull it off, but ya the phone that you want probably isn't going to be too cheap coming factory direct. (No 2-year actiavtion discounts or anything unless ome indie sell has that phone and some 2 yr activation discount at his/her store personally.)

Anyway I use cingular and a nokia 6682. which is cingular branded.. so it was easy as pie.

When you are going to sign up with a carrier. Get a contract with a free phone like the razr. So now your SIM card is activated. Then buy the new Nokia phone, it should be unlocked but double check to make sure. Since it's GSM, once you get the phone put your SIM in the card slot. Wait a while, dunno how long it takes, and then it will work. Don't throw away the other phone, just keep it for backup in case you need to send the other phone in for repairs or whatever. You don't need to bring the Nokia 7370, or whatever, in the store and ask them to activate it because the only thing you need to activate is a SIM and you can do that by signing a contract with a free phone.

This will only work if the phone is unlocked.

Also, Cingular has that Sony Ericsson phone so you can sign up with them and get the phone. The other two Nokias you have to buy somewhere else.

It's the swivel. Your friend bought it unlocked if she's on T-mobile, since they don't carry that phone.
