Does anyone know of any good ways I can prepare myself for exams? I HAVE to do well in my exams or risk failing...and I only have three weeks left before it's gonna happen. AND I have absolutely no idea how to approach my study. There's so much to do and I really suck at time management skills. I know there are some topics on effective ways of study but I need advice on time management too. Like what ways have worked for you??? Thanks

Wikipedia. People laugh when I suggest it by I live my life around the web site. I have nailed so many A's on tests just by remembering the wikipedia articles on the topics I am supposed to know.

Cramming is also a good way. I don't even read my text books until 2 days before my exams. I also don't even bother going to half of my classes unless it is a lecture. i find I zone out during long speeches designed for the less intelligent students. I often just grab my buddies notes.

I know, i am a bad influence.

yes, i am dying lately trying to get A's. i have awful time management as well.

as far as studying technique goes, it depends on the class for me.

like GONG!, omg encyclopedia articles is like a saviour when it comes to a history class, especially when the textbook is hard to follow. what i do is go to worldbookonline.com.

chem or math, do the samples in the textbook twice.

i like to type up really concise notes. so that all the material i have to remember is one page and organized really well. that way it'll be easier for me to remember. plus i remember from typing it.

that's what i do as well
typing the notes is really time-consuming, but it's amazing how easy the notes help you study cuz a chapter may seem long but if u organzie it, it's not that much

i'd type up everything in an outline format

Try to start studying right now, and gradually increase the workload. Re-type your notes if that helps you remember. If there are a lot of terms, try making flash cards for the ones you can't remember and take them with you everywhere. And don't cram!

You have to rehearse anything for it to be committed to short or long term memory. And sleeping on it is actually proven to help. :)
