as far as i know, korean phones can only be forced on the Verizon network..and not Sprints.

Its not a matter of the korean phones coming stateside, its more of a matter of any carrier supporting them. I don't think a handful of korean kids will be convincing argument for either re-configuring all the k phones that come over here or changing the carrier's operating frequencies. seriously though, anybody in the usa that wants a korean phone is really part of a specialty market and it wouldn't be wise for these big businesses to cater to a small group rather than take care of the millions of people who can get by on a piece of crap phone by motorola or something.

Just give up.. or move to korea or something if you need one that badly . Helio does what it wants.

Actually i don't think tv companies really cater to you considering you have to buy packages to get what you want. Grouping up the most popular stations for the region ensuring moderate to good sales region wide. Sure there are a few specialty stations... but on the whole the basic stations are geared towards the majority's wants and interest. But you're talking about a complete makeover of carrier systems if not.. some crappy FCC bureaucratic nonsense. Because, the frequencies companies use to communicate over cell phones are in fact kind of seen over by the FCC and whatnot. And the frequencies differ from company to company and nation to nation.

We have very little Korean phones in the states... Don't worry though. Time will take its hold and we'll have MILLION!

If you're talking about the imported models, you better be able to understand korean and be pretty fluent in it.

Apparently they have a korean microchip installed to it, and you can't change it. So it'll all be in Korean.

yeah but most of the NICER korean phones are mostly CDMA-network , and not gsm.

is a good cell phone really worth your time to petition for?? if korean phones were introduced officially into the u.s. then a lot of kids our age would get the phones and whatever, making it common and not as cool as an imported korean phone that almost no one else has. take the chocolate phone for example. before it was introduced by verizon wireless people had never seen it before and if you had it they all go "whoa what a cool phone! blah blah blah" and now EVERYONE has a chocolate phone so no one cares if you have it or not because it's common. it's like that.
