i got my first ticket today and i have no idea what i'm supposed
to do with it. i've heard about a thing called a deferral, but i have
no idea how. i know i'm supposed to go to court, but what am i
supposed to do once i get there? ask the judge for a deferral

or... u could try the old traditional way...
PAY IT ??
PAY IT ??
everyday we make choices... no one should ever say they never had a choice
with each choice comes consequence, make sure you know which way you head
for regreting is the worst feeling in the world.

You only have to go to court if you're still a minor or you want to fight the ticket. At least I think thats how it is, cuz the only time I went to court was when i got a ticket when i was 17. Everytime after that I either went to traffic school or just paid it off.

If it's first ticket, try going to court and arguing it.
Say you have a clean driving record and make up a sad sob story why you got a ticket. They usually say like... Pay XXX.XX amount of money and the judge will let you slide with no points. The points you get raise your insurance rates which in the long run... can cost more than the lump sum you pay.
Or.. you could just pay it and PRAY you dont get another ticket within a year because your points will accumulate which will screw you over with higher and higher and higher insurance costs.
