Lee Hyori: "Anybody would've done the same"


the sexy star says shes embarassed that everybody is making a huge deal about what she did on the 14th.

she finished work and walked out with her coordinator when she found a man laying on the street.

they gasped and checked him out, learning that he was a drunk who was fallen asleep.

Hyori and her coordinator tried many times to wake him up but he didnt respond.

Thinking that something can happen to him if they left, Hyori searched him and found his cellphone and ended up calling his family.

The drunk's younger brother rushed over and Hyori stayed with the drunk man for an hour until he came (till 1 in the morning).


The brother was not only greatly thankful of a stranger was watching out for his brother but shocked to see that it was such a huge star.


This incident was found out by the media and press when the drunk man woke up and heard the news...and called the newspapers to show his thanks publically since he couldn't find a way to thank her.

He says "Something terrible could have happened to me and I thank her so much for her kindness and in some aspects, great courage. I was lucky and am grateful. I wish her best luck in the continuation of her success as a star."

"Anybody would've done the same thing." Hyori says in response to much attention. "Im sure what everybody is having in mind is different from what really happened. If you saw the situation...you couldnt have left him either. It was a dark, secluded place and it was just dangerous. Im certain that all would have done something similar if they were me."

Her reps say she is embarassed that it has become such a huge deal.

NOTE! her coordinator was with her the whole time so kudos for her too!

Ya anybody mightve done the same but stars get cocky. They usually dont bend down to help someone in the middle of the night. Plus, not many people in Korea do this kinda stuff in the first place. dry.gif Trust me, I live here.

I'm so impressed, so many stars in Korea are way too arrogant to even look down!! Not to mention the fact that most people woudn't have even bothered... smile.gif
