So...we're watching this in my mass communication class. I don't find it that...interesting. And it's always hard for me to sit in class and watch a movie. I get unbelievably restless and I space off. vicx.gif

Can someone give me the jist of this movie? A little summary? Something?

Much appreciated! smile.gif

*edit* Way random, but I KNOW that I capitalized the first "Good" in the title and didn't capitalize "and." It's bothering me.
Life is friggin' fantastic.

Well... the film is about CBS news reporter Edward R. Murrow exposing Senator Joseph McCarthy for what he was and the affect it has on CBS news and everyone involved.

Personally, I loved it. My memory is a bit foggy in some aspects of the film, however, as I only saw it once this past February. I loved the atmosphere of the film, and I actually thought it was sort of easy-going and just fun to watch. And my God, did David Strathairn look and sound exactly like Edward R. Murrow! If Phillip Seymour Hoffman hadn't been so damn good in Capote, Strathairn would have been my pick for Best Actor of last year. biggrin.gif

^Thank you!!!

Everyone says this movie is awesome and I do like how it was made in black and white. I think I might have to rent it and see it again or something.

beautiful, beautiful film (art direction is amazing for black and white, i heard the production designer went to research old tv sets, and the background was actually in colors like bright greens and magentas)...
i love the way half of the film consists of men in sleek suits, having drinks and enjoying life... and the little interludes with the black woman singing was icing...
anyways, this film made me respect clooney a whole lot more...
