can anyone please tell me how to hardsub?

I have VirtualDub, but it didn't work well for me.

I followed some intructions on the internet:

Open the video
Video - filters - add - subtitler ...
But I couldn't find subtitler, just a bunch other options...

Please!

What are you trying to hardsub to?
Like avi, vcd, svcd, dvd

use winavi instead...
