yes its perfectly normal.....of course its not.

so you are saying you have a stock 06 rsx and when braking in a straight line the nose dives forward so much that the font bumper touches the ground?

she is braking into curbs?
damn you must be braking hella hard
I would guess abs would kick in and make you roll before you can brake that hard

That sounds like a pretty big suspension problem to me.

Probably not. Wow I've never heard that happen, even with slammed cars. Since this is a new car, this sounds serious. Is this RSX you speak of yours?

Give us some more information, such as modifications, or accidents the car might have been through.

it would hit the bump stops before the bumper would hit the ground anyways....maybe the car is lowered with bigger wheels and tires so the tire is rubbing the fender liner? hell my mom has an rsx-s with falken azenis rt-215. i can brake really hard (abs and all that jazz) without a problem.

A 4" lift kit might solve the problem!

take it to the dealer, maybe you can claim it under warranty or good will. Goodluck.

06 rsx (stock) (no upgrades wat so ever)

mmmm ... lets see it happens most of the time in my shcool neighborhood.... my school is in pasadena... kinda up in the hills.

the roads are pretty windy... so i like driving abotu 40 ish there... kinda fun...

but it always happens (from my knowledge) while go downhill.

the hill isnt steep at all juss a slight decline.

but like theres a stop sign at this one place... right after a corner.

and when i brake to stop for the stop sign i hear like a *RRtRTTDrT*

so for the longest time i was like wat is tht???

and juss the day before i posted here.... i checked under the front of my car...

and its pretty scratched... alot... especially the front left and right corners....

you sure you didnt scrape the bottom of the car someplace else and just think it happened during braking? because im willing to bet thats the case.

so are you braking hard? do you feel the pedal pulse, sorta push back at your foot? sometimes my moms car (rsx-s) will make a "rrtrttdrt" sound under abs.

its not possible for the stock suspension and tires to allow enough compression under braking at 40mph for the front end of the car to hit the gound

Your school is in Pasadena? That's RIGHT next to Arcadia where I live.
In the hills? wow you must be really up there because Pasadena is all flat places when I drive down Huntington.

Do you have a pix of your car? Maybe your shocks are blown or your springs are way too low.

the only way the bumper would scrape with the info you just gave is if the hill was literally like this \

This guy has his lowered and he still makes it out fine while going slow

maybe you have the 05-06 susp problem that a lot of owners have been complaining about. if thats the case, its not your front end hitting the ground, but its ur struts/springs popping.. usually making a rattling noise. i used to have the problem as well, but after i dropped my car, it went away. i think acura released a TSB for it, not exactly sure. i know a lot of people have taken it into the dealer, and had their struts replaced and it seemed to be fixed.

yea i hit it again today... and it definately wasnt the front end...
i heard the sound comin directly underneath where i was sitting... or at least pretty close to where i was sitting. and it wasnt from the wheels for sure too cuz it was like a brake screechin tire sound but it was like the sound where if u had a piece of plastic or something and scraped it across the ground ... the trlttrlttrlt sound..

so about tht suspension thing ure talkin about? its covered under the warranty rite?

should be, just take it into the dealer. however, they're going to have to be able to duplicate the sound that it makes for them to get on to fixing it. hopefully you're dealer won't be too anal about fixing it.
