Yeah, that was a pretty clutch kick.
Just as he was trotting out to take that kick, I noticed Gramatica making the sign of the cross about three times (at least, I think). Haha.
I figured the first one was to make the kick.
The second one was if he missed, he'd hopefully get another chance in OT.
And the third one was if he missed and Dallas ultimately lost, Parcells wouldn't kick his ass and he'd find himself on some boat fishing somewhere with Mike Vanderjagt. laugh.gif
Once more into the buffet
Into the last good bite I'll ever know

^ Hahahaahahaha yeah I did see him do that. But I think Vanderjagt would not have made the kick if he was there. He'd probably miss, Parcel's will lose more brain cells and TO will be yelling for Vanderjagt's releasement lol.

Wonder what Vanderjagt is doing now. Watching the Broncos/Seahawks game with Todd Sauerbrun XP.

So what teams do everyone here thinks is the best up to this point. For me I'll say San Diego for AFC and NFC is Chicago.

Hmm, I'd agree that San Diego is utterly impressive. LT is just stellar, and it seems like they don't really notice that Brees is gone. Having that type of success from LT is important because it takes tremendous pressure off Rivers, who is doing a good job this season. I can see them going strong into the playoffs.

I don't know about Chicago. Grossman is just horrible right now, and Smith continues to insist that Grossman is the reason why they are 10 - 2 and tied for the best record in football. The Bears are lucky they are in the horrible NFC, with the only team that I can see threatening their berth to be the Cowboys if Romo continues his poised confidence and if Martin Gramatica can continue to hit 50-yarders right down the hole lol.

I'd say Saints are one more year from becoming a serious threat. With a couple of improvements on defense and their receiving corps, they'd be a huge impact next year if they retain their confidence.

LOL Ron Mexico! Like I've said, this guy is over-rated and it's been what 5, 6 years now and no improvement? Deangelo Hall....self-proclaimed best corner in the nfl got burnt bad twice by some back-up WR's. Dirty bird's defense sucks. John Abraham, what a waste. One of the main problem is jim mora. Stupid falcons should've never fired Dan Reeves.

vick WILL play better with better receivers and an OL..guaranteed..we need a vet wr/calvin johnson..i won' tsettle for anything less..spend the first round pick on an OL that can pass block, get rid of the coahces.

anyone see that route that jenkins scored on in the game on sunday? that wasn't even in the playcalling..jenkins wasn't even a 3rd option..he was to be used as a decoy, but vick talked with jenkins in the huddle and told him to take that route and to score, and no one knew where teh ball was going except the two of them..and he was wide open, caught it, and scored..and you know whats incredibly stupid? knapps playcalling, and how VICK IS NOT ALLOWED TO AUDIBLE AT THE LINE AT ALL..if he knows that a designed run play is going to get stuffed, he has no freedom to audible and change the play becuase the coahces think he isn't smart enough to handle it and vick has just let the run play out..all he's allowed to do is change direction of run plays from the line..pathetic. get a better caoch with more ocnfidence, better wrs, better ol, and a real wrs coach (jerry rice, mathis, anyone who did not play in the nfl as an OFFENSIVE LINEMAN.)

Dez White, Peerless, Roddy White, and Michael Jenkins all walked into atlanta knowing how to cathc a ball..in his rookie season, jenkins caught every single ball that ws thrown to him, and roddy was not nearly as terrible as he is now...peerless was a mistake to givve him number 1 money for being a number 2 receiver, but he wasn't terrible either..and dez white also caught every ball his way, but fatman george stewart man totally ruined them..
Too lazy to make another sig. Ill get to it..maybe.

Speaking of Michael Vick, people are comparing Troy Smith to Vick, except an inch taller and better accuracy. However, Smith is projected in the Top 15 or even as low as the second round.

Does this show how teams want a scrambling-type QB? Vince Young, I have to say, has met success in the NFL, but do all scramblers really earn the respect they want in primetime?

And so would Charlie Frye.

Every quarterback would benefit with better receivers and better offensive lines, not just Michael Vick.

And I don't think Vick's decreasing production this past few years is due to the fact that he has less weapons than he had before, rather teams are starting to find out how to stop Vick. Vick is one dimensional.. that is, he runs and runs, and when he passes, just squeeze him into the backfield with spies everywhere. If Vick could learn how to play the position, then this all would be a different story.

Oh, were you in the huddle? I didn't know you spoke with Vick when he told Jenkins to run a different route. Hey, can you give us a day's notice on when Vick will make another audible in the huddle?

I don't know Vick well enough to talk about whether or not he can audible, but I will say that there is probably a reason to why he cannot audible. One of which, may be because he has trouble reading the field.

You are quick to blame everybody but Vick. Granted, I think Atlanta stinks because, as a whole, they're a mediocre team, but Vick is as big of a part as anybody else.

So.. what was that useless rambling about? Was that a quick overview of every receiver Vick has played with?

Like I said before.. Vick is as big of a part to blame as anybody else on the team, and the reason why everyone only talks about Vick is because he is the quarterback.. and like the coach, the quarterback gets the blame when the team loses (it is part of the job). The receivers may not be great, but great players play great regardless of who is around them, and Michael Vick has not been playing great.

but michael vick would benefit the most. look at all the great quarterbacks..what do they have in common? a beast OL and receivers that catch on a regular basis and make great plays.
vick came out with the audible thing in a press conference, and knapps system didn' teven let steve young audible so i don't think it has anything to do with vicks inability to read defenses
and if you notice, there hasn't been ONE team that has been able to shut down vick's running ability this year..maybe stop the running of norwood and dunn maybe, but no team has been able to contain vick like they did last year when he was playing inefficinetly and with a rushed knee injury
vick has had 6 tds dropped, and if you count those, his qb rating would be in the 90s, and he would have like 20-30 tds on the year so you can't say that he's one dimensional
even alge's dropping critical passes. and besides vick has proven that he can do it all in the 2002 year under reeves so theres gotta be something wrong, and its not vick.
Too lazy to make another sig. Ill get to it..maybe.

Is it fair to blame only one person for the downfall of a team? Its seems like whenever a team is faltering, people focus their attention on a QB or the coach. In my opinion, the coach has nothing to do with the way a team is playing. Sure a coach can motivate the players all he wants, and can even run drills with his players, but in the end of it all it rests on the shoulders of the players taking the field. You can't blame Jim Mora, Tom Coughlin, or other coaches who's teams are struggling.

Is it fair to blame a QB? It depends I guess. If a QB cannot complete passes and cannot be an effective leader sure you can. JP Losman was a prime example for the last two seasons, as Mike Mularkey struggled with what to do with the second rounder out of Tulane. That was because Losman could not complete passes, and since much of an offense is rested on a QB's shoulders after the snap there is reason to blame a QB for a team's troubles. Although sometimes, it is not the QB (look at Detriot, Kitna isn't doing THAT bad; Grossman is horrible but Chicago is still winning).

Is Vick completing his passes? He's barely over 50%. Is he being a leader? Pretty average one, at worst. So is it fair to blame the downfall of the Falcons on Vick? I'd say no.

LaDainian Tomlinson kicks ass. Give him the MVP.

Devin Hester of the Bears is also a badass. 2 td returns tonight.

Devin Hester, Devin Hester, Devin Hester,
ROY!
He had more all purpose yards yesterday than Rex had passing yards. He had more yards this week then LT had. SICK stuff.

yeah..they got a bunch of nobodies ballin..
and they have 38 mil in cap space, and i think the cap is extended 7 more mil this year..o_O thats a hella lot of cap space and they can seriously do some damage..especially with the good scouting and signing of players that are cheap..damn..they can really dominate the nfc/nfc south for the next couple of years..

or this could be a fluke and they can go back to sucking for another 35 years
