Oh ok I remember the play. It wasn't Champ's assignment to cover Gates but Champ jumped up almost in time for the INT but Gates got the TD. So no I wouldn't call that Champ's fault.

LOL. It didn't involve a TD (which would've been easy to point out), but that's another good one though it's more Gates than Rivers. I gotta give credit to the SD o-line too.

here's my prediction,

Saints over Eagles
Bears over Seahawks
Ravens over Colts (i really wish the Ravens can win this one, not much of a Colts fan)
Patriots over Chargers (I'm a Pats fan so i gotta choose them but it's going to be a really hard game to win)

Saints over Eagles = Saints have too many weapons for the Eagles to handle, plus losing Lito Sheppard is a big loss on defense.

Colts over Ravens = As long as the O-line gives Peyton the time, he'll be alright. And if the Ravens fall behind, I don't see their offense coming back even with McNair. Their offense sucks. Besides I hate them.

Seagulls over Bears = Over-rated Bears defense and Rex? I'll take the Seagulls in a close one.

Chargers over Pats = Chargers are more talented all around. Both defenses are good. LT has owned the Patsies and I don't see why he can't run on them once again. And Chargers should use Gates up the middle all day. And Rivers should throw deep to test those DB's besides Samuel. As long as SD don't go into "Marty Ball" mode, I don't see why they can't win unless Rivers just totally screws up and throws like 3 INT's.

Bears over Seahawks...
Ravens over Colts...
Eagles over Saints...
and finally...!!
CHARGERS over Pats (I understand Brady is one of the most clutch athletes in the world compared to an essentially rookie Rivers.....and one of the best coach compared to one of the most notorious playoff losers, Marty...we can obviously favor the Pats...HOWEVER! you really CANNOT ignore the MVP and the offensive player of the year LT! He will dominate plain and simple. biggrin.gif

i think baltimore's D will give Manning, Harrison, Wayne and company some trouble. I also think Jamal Lewis will pound the ball down the Colt's horrid rushing D (they can't possibly stop the rush 2 games in a row can they??). I'm taking Baltimore (-4) to cover and win by 10.

as for the philly/no game. this game will be a great game. the eagles lost on a last second FG in their regular season matchup (with mcnabb). i think it will also come down to special teams again. the loss of lito in the secondary will hurt a bit, but hopefully rod hood and will james can step it up. also, westbrook will hopefully outshine bush and co. all garcia needs to do is stay consistent and not turn the ball over. i think LJ Smith and Hank Baskett will play a role in the game. Eagles (+5) will cover and win by 3.

eagles can't pound it in from the 2??? arghh. B. West drops a for sure go-ahead TD in the red zone? arghhh

andy reid punts on 4th and 15 with 1:53 to go, but on previous play (4th and 10) he decided to go for it? arghh. why andy? worse case scenario the saints score a TD and go up by 10 and you lose. or...saints get a FG and you get the ball back...

As soon as the Eagles squandered the opportunity at the 2, I looked at the clock and was reminiscent of the previous meeting. I knew that they were going to give the ball to Deuce, Deuce, Deuce.. as they should have. It was funny, because the one time they went away from Deuce on that one play, Reggie fumbled the ball.

After the loss, I wanted to drink my sorrow away and forget the game had ever occurred. It is just a damn shame that they wouldn't give me any beer. I mean, who cares if I'm not 21 yet. When my Eagles lose, I need a damn beer!

So far I'm 2-0 in predictions. Like I said the annoying Crows offense sucks and it showed lol.

haha....how long will petrino stay with vick...i wonder....

yup..i'm happy with the cards getting the whiz. better than mike sherman. chow and rivera would have been decent choices as well.

if i were a falcons fan, i'd be pissed...especially with the likes of chow, rivera, cam cameron still available.

Agh, Saints beat out the Eagles by 3 points.

4th quarter, it was 21-27 and Eagles had ball on the Saint's 3 yard line and it was 2nd and 1.

And they blew it.

They could have won the game with a touchdown right there and it looked almost impossible not to. Had to settle for a field goal. sad.gif
