I had a dream yesterday that the colts lost 9-34 or 32. I'm an all time Colts fan since a long time ago. I hope it's not true.

It doesn't really matter that much who wins the Super Bowl to me.
But to be devil's advocate, I'll root for the Bears.

And to put that much more of a spin on it, I'll go so far as to predict a final score: Bears 23, Colts 19. (+/- two points on either end - could be a 21-17 or 24-20 score - but basically Bears by 4, with the total score being under 44 points).

This much I know: with the Super Bowl being on a neutral site, the game for both teams is essentially a road game. And in studying their trends and success in their road games, I see that the Bears have more of the edge in this regard. Whereas the Bears were 7-1 in their road games, the Colts were a mediocre 5-4 in their nine road games (including the playoff win in Baltimore). If you take it further and analyze their performance in their most recent 5 road games, the Colts were a woeful 1-4 - again with only the playoff game in Baltimore being the gutsy win that broke the string. And in 3 of the 4 losses in this span, the Colts lost to the Texans, Titans, and Cowboys by a margin of 3-4 points in relatively low-scoring lackluster offensive performances. Indianapolis is by far an invincible team when placed on the fast track that is their domed home field. But put them on a natural grass surface away from home and they just seem like they aren't the same kind of offensive force. Even in their win against a tough Baltimore defense, they won that game principally on the foot of Vinatieri and some timely defensive plays. But which does one place more weight upon? The most recent road win against the Ravens or the overall trend that the Colts are just a .200 winnning percentage team over the course of their last 5 road games? For me, I'll take the latter. And take into account the possibility of inclement rainy conditions for the game, the more I think Indy will play more to their norm/trends when placed in "road game" conditions.

Haha, I could be right - I could be royally wrong. But I know you can't brag about it after the fact, so may as well put my prediction out there! Anybody else care to make a prediction along with their own synopsis? Game time is near!

I say the winner will be ...

The Superbowl Commercials. xD

I really don't care for the game this year .... but I'll say Colts since I dislike the Bears. haha

Hmm ... I say 28 Colts - 17 Bears.

Don't have a favorite to win this game. But I think it's Peyton Manning's time to win the big one.

Grossman has had some solid passes 1st quarter. Let's hope that continues.

The Bears are holding their own.. though you can sort of see it starting to slip away. Two quick TDs, but their offense have stalled a lot. Part of it was due to field position (I think they had just two or three drive starting past their 30 after their two TDs), and part of was due to very conservative play. Not many shots down the field, a lot of runs up the middle, not a lot of aggressive play.

If the Bears want any chance in beating the Colts, then they will have to figure out that they have to play to win, not play to hold a lead or hold the Colts close. You want to minimize Rex Grossman's losses (because, lets face it, the guy is turnover-prone), but it is the Super Bowl. If you are going to risk all of your marbles, then this is the game to do it.

You do not want your young, relatively weak quarterback losing the game for you, but your defense hasn't exactly stalled the Colts on every drive either. I think the Colts must have had seven or eight drives, and the Colts drove down the field four of those times (one of them being a missed field goal by Vineteri at the end of the half -- very shocking!). Lovie Smith.. I KNOW you're on Soompi during halftime. Take my advice!

I said it before, and I'll say it again.. with bad weather, it is anybody's game.
