the patriots do it..and they won 3 superbowls..
well now their run is over and i think they're getting desperate...which is why they're signing all these big names all of a sudden..
heres to another great season of vick with the overhauled offense
i dont see how people can consider vick as a weak passer..he's not a pocket passer, but he gets things done..20 tds and 13 ints? that hits right in the mniddle of all starting qbs, and thats amazing since he was sacked 48 times, had 6 tds dropped, and a ton of passes dropped..especially with the terrible playcalling and oline..now petrinos in the buildilng and hopefully the falcons can win that one game they needed 3 years ago to get to the superbowl..

While the Chargers' main colors stay the same – navy blue jerseys for home games, white for road games and powder blue for special games – the logo and uniforms will feature numerous changes for next season.
Logo: Will contain a gold lightning bolt outlined in powder blue and navy blue.
Jersey: New bolt logo wraps around, rather than over, each shoulder; uniform number moves from the bottom of the sleeve to the top of the shoulder; collar is rounded instead of V-neck.
Pants: Still white, but with a wider contoured stripe and newly designed bolt logo that winds from back to front.
Helmet: White helmets (not shown) are similar to those the team has worn with "throwback" powder blues. Players' numbers are in black on the back of the helmet, rather than the side.

Let's see.. they had the white and dark navy blue jerseys. Then they had a light, kind of like a sky-blue jersey. I think they also had a throwback, or that could have been the sky-blue jersey. Now they are changing their uniforms. I'd sure be pissed if I were a Chargers fan who just spent $300 for an authentic Chargers jersey.
I hope to God that the Eagles don't join the bandwagon and start piling up millions of alternative jerseys or alter their jersey completely. That would drive me nuts. Well, I don't actually wear football jerseys (something about a grown man wearing a football jersey outside a football occasion bothers me to no end).
Ok, if it was a cute girl wearing a football jersey, then lets have it! I remember passing by this girl wearing a Browns' jersey, and I stared at her as she walked past, then away from me. A BROWNS jersey! Girls in football jerseys are just damn cute.

Yeah, there is somewhat of a jersey issue here in San Diego. But the colors haven't really changed much. It's always been the navy blue home jerseys, with the white road uniforms for quite some time now. There have been only minor changes along the way (ie. trim changes on the lightning bolt, small stuff like that), but I believe the last major color change just came after the Fouts era in the early/mid 80's when they had a lighter shade of blue and incorporated more of the yellow (as in their pant legs). The new changes don't really change the colors, just the design and the cut of the uniform. The powder blue uniforms with white helmets are actually the throwback uniforms from the 60's that have become somewhat the sensation around here. There are some that would actually like to see the Chargers revert back to these now-popular colors. But now, they are only taken out and worn on choice occasions during the year.

Hey, that's cool - at least in cases where Harrington is in throwing the ball, the fans don't have to complain about the inefficiency of the receivers catching the ball, they'll now just complain about the inefficiency of the QB getting it to them.

O yes ... Those powder blues are sexy~ ...
Anyway ... Some news from Associated Press.
NEW YORK (AP) - Adam "Pacman" Jones of Tennessee was suspended for the 2007 season Tuesday and Chris Henry of Cincinnati for eight games - both for numerous violations of the NFL's personal conduct policy.
"It is a privilege to represent the NFL, not a right," NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement announcing the suspensions. "These players and all members of our league have to make the right choices and decisions in their conduct on a consistent basis."
Jones' off-field conduct has included 10 incidents where he was interviewed by police. The most recent took place during the NBA All-Star weekend in Las Vegas. Police there recommended felony and misdemeanor charges against Jones after a fight and shooting at a strip club paralyzed one man.
Henry was arrested four times in a 14-month span, resulting in two benchings by coach Marvin Lewis and a two-game league suspension. He was one of nine Bengals arrested in nine months.
Both the Titans and the Bengals said they supported the suspensions.
"While we regret the circumstances that called for it, it's good for both Chris and the Bengals to have the matter resolved," said Bengals coach Marvin Lewis. "Our team will move forward, and now it is up to Chris to acquire a more mature understanding of his responsibilities as a player for the Bengals and a representative of the NFL."
Goodell, who replaced the retired Paul Tagliabue seven months ago, also announced the new, tougher personal conduct policy that will include larger fines and longer suspensions.
The suspensions came under the current NFL policy on player conduct.
"It is important that the NFL be represented consistently by outstanding people as well as great football players, coaches and staff," Goodell said in announcing the new policy.
"We hold ourselves to higher standards of responsible conduct because of what it means to be part of the National Football League. We have long had policies and programs designed to encourage responsible behavior, and this policy is a further step in ensuring that everyone who is part of the NFL meets that standard."
Jones, the sixth overall pick in the 2005 draft, starred on the field but had nothing but trouble off it during two seasons with the Titans. He had four touchdowns last season, three on punt returns and one on one of his four interceptions.
He could be reinstated before season's end if he adheres to a strict set of conditions set by the NFL that include no further involvement with law enforcement; counseling, education and treatment under league and court-ordered programs; follows restrictions on his activities agreed to with the Titans; and a community-service program submitted to the league for review and approval.
"We appreciate the Commissioner's thoughtful decision today and the discipline plan imposed on Adam Jones," the Titans said. "We respect this decision and are confident this is in the best interest of the league and the team. We are hopeful that it will achieve the goals of disciplining the player and eventually enabling him to return to the field of play. Our goals for Jones are consistent with the league's in that regard."
Jones' attorney, Manny Arora of Atlanta, was in a meeting and did not immediately return a message left by the Associated Press.

Broncos and patriots come close as second
Whos been too quiet/loser?
I think minnesota has been too quiet..they've lost players, havent signed any, and the packers are still very young, so i can see them not making too many moves. but honestly, the bucs are the loesrs. they've only added older players to a terribly aging defense and still have no qb.
and i think harrington will be pretty good as a backup...trying to resurrect his career...and the wide receivers will be ok, if not better htna last year at least.

yea the first game of the season is saints and the colts. wow what a way to start off the season. i think its going to be a good game but i think the colts are going to take it because the saints did very little this offseason and their defense didnt get alot better so i say the colts by 8

Last years super freak was TE Vernon Davis, at 6'3" 258 pounds who ran the 40 in 4.38 seconds, had a 42" vertical jump, and bench presses 530 pounds.
This year it's WR Calvin Johnson. At the NFL combine, at 6'5" 239 pounds, he ran a 4.35 40, and he has a 47" vertical jump.
47" !!!!!! Scary.....
RB Peterson also had a good showing at the combine...
Draft's on the 28 and 29
