*edit* What's hilarious about this is that I wanted to see what the fans are saying on the Eagles forum, and it literally shut down. Usually that only happens in the 4th quarter of a late regular season game/playoff game.

noo... I like McNabb but he is getting rusty. Eagle's are hungry for a SB win.

I don't get the Eagles signing Vick. They have other good capable backups at the qb position in Kolb and Feely.

Isn't Kolb injured?
I think there are 2 ways to look at it.
You can either tell yourself that vick has been out of the NFL for 2 years and has a lot of rust and won't be any better than a 3rd string qb.
BUT, the value of the signing all has to do with the $$ they spent on him. If not much of the money is guaranteed, then it's not a bad move.
And don't give me this crap about how he was involved in a dog fighting ring and deserves to never play football again.
Stallworth killed a man and at most will be out of football for a year, served 20 days and change in jail, and STILL get's to keep his 4.5 million dollar signing bonus.
Vick lost all his money, did 2 years hard time, and commited to educate people about his mistakes.
ANYbody who does jailtime for a crime get's a second chance. Why not Vick?

Goodell suspended Stallworth for the entire season:

Obvious you don't know anything about the NFL. A bum like vick is nowhere near McNabb's level. Horrible signing lmao!

I don`t get why Eagles signed Vick either. Beats me. Yesterday I read somewhere that there is a possibility McNabb and Vick will be in/playing at the same time. Lol.

he had the potential to be the greatest quarterback to ever play the game and while that opportunity is gone..he can still light it up, which i fully expect him to do. he has a cannon and though he no longer has 4.2 speed, he is ridiculously speedy. i, for one, am extremely excited to see him get on the field..even in preseason.
and favre...i've just learned to ignore/not care about his indecisiveness. but if he can play just as well as he did for the jets, the vikings will be a force.
that being said..the falcons are going to light it up all season. get ready

Finally someone is speaking up about farve and his childish ways. Seriously I don't want to sound evil but someone needs to take farve out so he can retire for good. I bet when his 2 year deal ends with the vikings end he is gonna go " I am finally going to retire" and then when training camps roles around again news come out with the head lines
"Farve to go out of retirement again?" I find it sad how he was once such a respected figure in the NFL but now to me he is nothing more than a joke. The guy needs to make up his damn mind.
I also hate it how the people on ESPN always put him up on a petistol, yes he has done so many things for the NFL and his stats are great, but there comes a time when someone has to call the guy out instead of treating him like god.

He's in the ultimate mid life crisis right now. XD
Anyways, Plexico Burress pled guilty, finally. Two years jail + two years probation/supervision/something like that. Also, time can be reduced to 20 months for good behavior.
If he had just done that in the beginning, he would've pretty much done with half his sentence. Now, he'll probably never play again, especially with the looming buyout and Goodell's giving out suspensions like candy.

I find it funny how he gets 2 years for shooting himself in a leg, yes with a gun he wasn't supposed to have, but Stallworth gets 20+ days for killing a person. Doesn't really matter to me though because I was never a fan of Burress, the dude was a major douche just like TO, this is why I am glad the Texans have a great receiver in Johnson that plays great on the field and is a great person off it as well.

felt the same way. someone told me because new york had really tough gun laws. as i know of, burress wasn't even purposely trying to shoot someone either. didnt he just accidently leave it off from safety lock. if he tried to shoot someone and accidently shot himself then he deserves that jail time for stupidity.
im also tired of brett favre. total diva.
