Is anyone applying to University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign?
How is the admissions for out of state people compared to in state people?

Local environment?
How is the business program? I know its strong, but does anyone know people who are in it etc?

I had a cousin that graduated from U of I as a business major. He was I believe in the top 10% of his class. The job opportunities he had after graduating were pretty fair and his starting salary was around 80k.

U of I also has really good computer science, chemical engineering, and electrical engineering programs. If you want to specialize in something at this school, these programs are tops in the country and will get you recognition when job-hunting time occurs.

How is the recruitment for the business school outside of Illinois?
Is the local area really that bad? I hear there's nothing to do.

um u of i business --> go for accounting! lol no. 1 in the nation and i know relle good internship opportunities that come with their accounting department just coz its so well known...

i live in IL..um everyone who is decent in school pretty much goes there? lol for me its a safety school and champaign is definitely a college town about 3 hours away from chicago with traffic, yeah GReek life is HUGE there...so yeah their motto is usually go greek or go home? haha 98% i think or something outrageously high soo yeah i know about 30-40 ppl in the freshman class this year lmao so let me know if you have any questions i guess =] also they do priority filing period till nov 15th if you want a good chance itd just be safe to do that coz i know they fill up ALOT of in state kids by then..so just to be safe =]
