So, I need to apply for colleges within this week just because I want to get it out of the way and so I do not forget! So, what colleges do you guys consider for someone who have a 3.12 GPA and a 20 on the ACT(didn't fill out all of the sections, ouch, I retaken it on Oct. 28, 2006) and an 8 on the writing section to apply to?!

A community college would be best, I guess.
But I'm not too sure. You'll find a college out there where you will exceed their expectations but it'll be super hard to find 'em. You'll need to do some definite research. Hm, well as for being a Wisconsin student, there's a local university here that requires an 18 for ACT and I'm not too sure about the GPA...2.5 I think? Maybe that's too low. But yeah, UW Stout has those requirements.
Look for smaller colleges.
Maybe it'd be best for you to go to a tech college too. ^___^;

you should apply to all the schools you WANT to go to.
so...apply to a few schools (2~3) that are the stretch...places that you know are maybe too challenging, but give it a try anyways.
and then maybe about 5 schools that are at your level.
and then a few back up schools.
