Hey guys!! I'm translating an interview, and I'm having a bit of trouble getting through some of the sentences. I understand the meaning, but I'm not quite sure how to translate it into English. If anyone could help out even a little bit, I'd love you forever. Seriously! XD ♥

リラックスして聴いてもらえるアルバムにしたいという気持ちがあったので、それに対する完成度は高いんじゃないかな。
^ The bolded part is what I don't understand. Something about the album being finished?...

^ This paragraph practically went over my head. I couldn't even understand the gist of what the interviewer was saying (... and lol, that's supposed to be "JEWEL SONG". XD)

歌詞はストレートにズバリと言ってる感じでいきたいなと思ってたんです。
^ ... how can the lyrics be "straight"?

――これ以上私を悩ませないで!みたいな感じですね。
【BoA】 洋楽の訳詞みたいな感じでしょ?私の中では、この曲で1度ブレイクしてほしいという気持ちでアルバムの真ん中に入れたんですよ。
^ This part totally lost me too. T__T

なんか、やっちゃいけないことをしているような罪悪感みたいなワクワク感がありました。
^ Something about guilt or excitement?...

デビュー前は両親のありがたさがわからなくて、離れて初めて気がついたんです。デビューしてからずっと思っていたことではあるんですよ。いつか親に対する気持ちを伝えられる年になったら歌ってみたいって。今度、韓国語に訳して聴かせてあげたいです。
^ I'm getting the gist of what she's saying with her parents and such, but I can't really piece it together. >__<;

ありがとうございます!

She's saying she wanted to create an album that you can relax and listen to and she thinks she's done a good job at accomplishing that.
それに対する is in regards to X, where X is the attempt to make an album that is described. So she's saying literally 'the degree of accomplishment' (完成度) in regards to that (それに対する) is high (高い)

The interviewer comments on how BoA's new song contains a type of theme that her other songs haven't had so far, a kind of "Lost Love" feeling to it (to use the katakana word for it, haha). BoA says that she's always liked songs and has always wanted to sing songs of lost love and sad or tragic feelings but since she was still very young she felt it wouldn't be very convincing to sing as if she had that type of experience. However since she's 20 now she thinks that it's ok to use that theme, and when she sang jewel song at her Christmas Live in December she had alot more people saying they can relate to the content in her songs than before, so she believes that the message one tries to sends in a song is related to the age of the person singing it.

QUOTE
こういうミディアムテンポでリズムがあってコーラス中心で動く曲は、個人的に好きで、初めてプロツールスで作ってみたんです。
^ Again, the bolded part. I can't figure out what プロツールス means, either. D:

"I personally like songs that evolve around a chorus with medium tempo and rhythm so I first tried creating one in Pro Tools"

I'm guessing Pro Tools (プロツールス) is the name of a music composing program or something

QUOTE
――これ以上私を悩ませないで!みたいな感じですね。
【BoA】 洋楽の訳詞みたいな感じでしょ?私の中では、この曲で1度ブレイクしてほしいという気持ちでアルバムの真ん中に入れたんですよ。
^ This part totally lost me too. T__T
Interviewer: "It sends a message like "Dont play with my feelings anymore" you know??"
BOA: "Yea it has a kind of western music style feel to it, I added that into the album because I really wanted to break number 1 with this song"

QUOTE
なんか、やっちゃいけないことをしているような罪悪感みたいなワクワク感がありました。
^ Something about guilt or excitement?...

"I was nervous, like I had a sense of guilt about doing something that I shouldn't be doing"

QUOTE
まだ10代じゃなかったっけ?
^ What does 代 mean?
"Weren't you still 10 something??"

10代 refers to anyone of the age between 10 and 19, 20代 refers to the age of anyone between 20 and 29, etc...haven't found quite a good way to translate this into English yet, haha...

QUOTE
子供は幾つになっても子供という、親の感覚みたいですよ。私も親の前では自然とワガママになっちゃうしね。
^ Something about kids and parents? O_O

"It's like the feelings that parents have that no matter how old their kids get they will always be kids. I always act spoiled in front of my parents and such..."

^You left out some of the context for this

QUOTE

^ I'm getting the gist of what she's saying with her parents and such, but I can't really piece it together. >__<;
"Before I debuted I didn't think about it but after I was apart from my parents I realized for the first time how thankful I was for them. Ever since I debuted I've always thought that one day when I become old enough to tell how I feel about my parents I'd like to do it through a song. Next time I'll translate it into Korean and let you listen to it"

QUOTE
歌詞はストレートにズバリと言ってる感じでいきたいなと思ってたんです。
^ ... how can the lyrics be "straight"?

"I felt like I wanted to have fairly straightforward lyrics"

In the Japanese the the lyrics aren't straight, here 歌詞 connects to 言ってる actually (inverted it would be ストレートにズバリと言ってる感じがある歌詞). But I wanted to avoid a japlish translation

10代 could be translated as maybe "teenager", right?

er. one more thing.

やわらかさがありますよね。ちょっと大人になった分のセクシーさと・・・。
You have a gentle nature. You're becoming an adult with a little bit of sexy.

is that correct?...

thank you!!!

maybe, unless the person is 10 11 or 12, which you wouldn't be able to know from just the word 10代

ack, sorry, one more thing: is this correct too?

――いつか好きな人ができたら、歌で気持ちを伝えるとか。
【BoA】 それはないですかね(笑)!
――Someday when there's someone you like, will you convey your feelings with a song too?
【BoA】 There isn't anyone like that (laugh)!

never mind. answered it already! XD

daiki-san konnchiwa.
nihon wa doudesuka? (mou) fuyu yasumi ga hajimarimasuka? (did u already start break?)
(skipping line about travel/soccer)
saikin (recently) kurisumasu wo iwaimashita. kurisumasu wo iwaimasuka? shougatsu-toki nani wo shimashitaka? (that's probably wrong so I wouldn't go with that sentence).
Have you been writing to him in English? Almost all japanese penpals I have are studying or have studied english and use email to practice, so maybe you should ask him which he prefers...and I assume you're not studying Japanese, lol, but if you are, go ahead and write in Japanese/English for practice

できれば、服についてのいろんな動詞の説明をしてくれませんか。
もうすぐ日本語の授業が始まるのに、それはあまり覚えていません。。^^;

何かを「履く」とか「着る」とか。。。

What verbs to use for putting on different types of clothing...could someone kindly give me a brief overview/review? =]
You can just use [type of clothing] + [verb]. Oh, and accessories like めがね、指輪、ネックレス、靴とか。。

Sorry if it's too much trouble ^^; I tried to search it online, but I couldn't find a website with a good explanation.

ちゃんと説明できなくて申し訳ない。 tears.gif
バリエーションの紹介です。 sweatingbullets.gif
