^ hajimemashite...nice to meet you mellow.gif...but only when you first meet someone
yoroshiku onegaishimasu....I'm counting on you...no real english translation, you can also say this when you meet someone.

If you think about the English (literal) translations, it won't help too much.

You say Hajimemashite to start an introduction (Significance is similar to "Nice to meet you for the first time"). You say it to start an introduction. As mentioned before, it's for the first time you meet someone.

For Yoroshiku onegaishimasu, the meaning is something like "Please be nice to me." However, you don't say that in English. There are no English translations for these phrases. Just remember it comes at the end of introductions.

Here's an example introduction:
はじめまして!わたしのなまえは[NAME]です。[OCCUPATION]です。しゅみは[HOBBY]です。よろしくおねがいします。

yes you need to learn the "two dashes and the circle" lol. "two dashes" change the sound of the character. In this case, ha -> ba. With the circle, ha -> pa. And all other H characters change their sound to b sound with the " and a p sound with the circle.

-The church is dedicated to the 26 Chrisians crucified in 1597 on a nearby hill.

-The church was dedicated in 1864 and soon after a group of hidden Christians came out of hiding.

-Houses in Glover Garden have rooms that still look as they did in the 19th century.

-For about 200 years, the tiny island of Dejima in Nagasaki's Harbor was the only trading port open to foreigners.

Thanks in advance if you were able to help =]]

cool.gif cool.gif cool.gif

もしもファンだったら、その絵面を見て、落ち込むかもね。

I can't copy and paste it because it turns into questions marks. What I want translated is at the bottom of this link in the comments.

Ooh! マメさ (mamesa) is faithfulness. 忠実 (mame) means faithful (but mame also means bean - 豆, btw -- regarding the comment). When you add さ to an adjective, it becomes "to the extent of [adjective]". For example, 高い (takai) means tall. When made into 高さ (takasa), it means height. Similiar, 長い (nagai), which means long, becomes 長さ (nagasa) to mean length.
