san is a formal way to address somebody who is
1. a stranger
2. older than you
3. somebody you hardly know
4. higher authority
and you just use "san" to show respect and manner

chan is the word you use when you are addressing a person who is
1. your friend
2. younger than you
basically it's less formal than san

is it gramatically incorrect?

父と母はビジネスがあて、仕事からたいてい忙しいです。

it's suppose to be : dad and mom have a business so they're usually busy from work.

how do you say : even if it's a little sad, i still think i'm lucky that i have them. blink.gif

父と母はビジネスがありますから忙しいです。
you can't say 仕事から. that kara particle is used litteraly...like from Japan to Hawaii (nihon kara hawai made)
saying "reason" kara xxx means because or so...

How would you say "OH NO!!!" and "YEAH! (cheering)" in Japanese? Iie = no Hai = yes is that correct?

What does "dochi de mo iyo" and "jinigou" and "ja" mean?

Hai and iie would not fit those situations you described...

Shimatta! - Said when you just did something clumsy, bad, or whatever.

ieii - Pretty much sounds like yay.
Ganbatte! - Keep it up!
Fuaito! - Fight!

Dochi demo ii yo - Whichever is fine.
Ja - See ya.
jinigou - Not sure what this is. Can you give me more clues?

Ja is also used like, when someone is starting to say something, right? From what I know, Ja ne= see ya.
I always hear my Japanese teacher says Ja, and then continue with her sentence...

Ah okay.. I didn't know where to put this question..
but I hope someone can answer this for me.

I have windows xp and whenever I come across an asian site, question marks and squares pop up everywhere.
I probably don't have asian fonts installed on my computer or something..
But can someone tell me where to download something so that it hopefully shows the fonts up instead of ??? and squares?

Any help would be appreciated!

難病と闘い続ける少女亜也の日記

How would I pronounce this?

nanbyou to tatakai tsudekeru shoujo ?? [not sure what 亜也 is pronounced like] no nikki.
--> daughters diary of a battle with incurable disease (is my translation correct?)

You mean put your names in Japanese? Brook is Buruuku and Kiko is fine as a Japanese name but kind of girly

亜也 is a name, Aya.
少女 can mean little girl / young girl

so most likely it would be the diary of aya, the girl battling an incurable disease
