Some people also annoy me a lot but the reason is .....maybe something that I may have caused....(as an adult, I feel there are some part of responsibilities in myself, as you said). But they are a lot of crazyyyy people exisist in this world. So what we should do is....just to ignore....just hoping their happiness.

I honestly impressed by your skill! I mean, you can wirte those text almost less than a year of studying! that's amazing! that's why I am saying I want to promote you in Japan! I don't think many people know that there are a girl like you exist in this world! that's why!!! HAHHA .....but if you'd hesitate, that's ok! well, if you think you are ugly, how ugly you are? Because I don't really believe in beautiful and ugly in this world. Because as you get older, you'll find the real, genuine inner atractiveness more and more, and even it is trend that there is a word, "Busu Kawaii" (very cute but little bit ugly). I miss you , There isn't an actual " I miss you" in Japanese right??? Usually they use " aitakatta", or something like " anata ga inakute sabishikatta."



" I'm selfish." - " Watashi wa wagamama desu" / or just " Wagamama desu".

You could also use " jibun katte desu" too, right?

For learning Kanji, and even Hiragana/Katakana I suggest A Guide to Reading & Writing Japanese Covers all Hiragana and Katakana and goes up to Grade Six based on the Japanese educational system.

I think the best one for learning Japanese quickly would be the Pimsleur course (but it's a bit pricey).

As for kanji, I'm learning through Maruko-chan's Kanji jiten, lol. I bought it at BOOK OFF, covers grade 1 - 2 kanji + Flash cards, up to Grade 4. I'm also planning on getting the Kanji and Kana book, to help my handwriting. I realized after three years, that I had been writing certain Kana the wrong way. :/

Yeah, I agree to Debussy. I don't know but there are no exact translation of "I miss you" in Japan. When I first heard the "I miss you" from one of my American friends, it was hard to fully understand what she meant. Maybe in Japanese,

"anata ni aitai" (you want to meet him/her in the future again)
or

"anata ga inakute sabishii" (it's the past. you will have no more chances to meet him/her so you feel sad)

"aitai" (I want to meet you. just saying your present state)

"aitakatta" (it's the past. I want to meet you but not possible anymore).

Something like that.

もともと、ひらがなは１０００年ほど前に、中国から伝わった漢字が崩れてできあがったもの。
当時の貴族社会では、女性が使う文字とされてたんだ。
曲線の多い文字だから、漢字よりも柔らかいイメージがある。
その一方で、カタカナは、直線的なイメージだから、どちらかというと男性的な印象だね。

ｉｆ　ｙｏｕ　ｗｒｉｔｅ　「愛してる」， ｉｔ�ｓ　ｓerious　impression．
「あいしてる」　is lighter impression　than 「愛してる」.
「アイシテル」　seems to be whispered near the ear,　ちょっとドキドキしちゃう。

This doesn't directly relate to Japanese but I think that I should be able to get a reply pretty quickly in here. When you are typing in Japanese, is there a shortcut for switching between Hiragana and Katakana? I figured out the one for switching between Japanese and English (alt + shift) but I'm not sure if there is one for that. It's such a pain to keep clicking on the language bar to change and I'd love it if somebody was able to help me.
