Given my stats (below), please suggest some colleges/universities that you think I have a chance at.
Preferably in California & Texas, but other states are fine with me (it's just CA and TX, are what I know of...)

GPA (weighted): 4.2 (out of a 5 point scale)
Extracurricular:

- Yearbook Staff
- Health Occupation Student Awareness (HOSA) officer
- Health Science Technology (HST) Student (shadowed a various doctors in a hospital clinical rotation)
- National Honor Society
- Big Brother, Big Sister program
* Orchestra
* Tennis

*I did this for a short time for credits only, so I don't know if I should put that.

SAT: (haven't taken it, but let's say I get a 1900+)

I know these stats aren't the greatest, and I know that they aren't descriptive enough either...but please, any help is appreciated. (:

I don't know much about colleges and the ones I do know are huge, well-known colleges. Those are fine, but I want to be a "big fish in a small pond" where I can stand out. (:

thanks!

Your GPA is a 4.2 out of 6 or 5? (I'm on the 6 scale at my school so this is a bit confusing)

If so, then what is it unweighted? That would help more.

Oops, sorry, mention the scale would have helped.

4.2/5

It's out of a 5 scale.

Well since I'm from Texas, too, I'd say that if you are in top 10% STAY IN IT. If you do, then you would have a shot at UT-Austin. I think you have great extracurriculars (wishing I didn't change schools now.), and now I must say that you are my enemy!

Do you live in Texas? If so, what city? I'd say if you lived in Houston then you could shoot for Rice or go to HBU (if you're Christian) because HBU's a small private school but it's also a really good school.
