i heard that hk conducted a study and found that it does have a lot of cholesterol, resulting in a higher risk of heart attacks.

That is , if you eat it very frequently. Just don't choose the dishes that are dripping with oil....

I think every Chinse food has a lot of sodium and cholestoral. That's why they serve green tea at the restuarants: to wash it down with the food.

Not every Chinese food contains a lot of cholestoral, a lot taste better than Korean food and some are healthier too. Dim sum is quite fattening, but it tastes nice ^^

lol when my family goes to eat dimsum, we spend over 60$ for just 4 of us because we have "american" stomachs. those 3/4pieces per plate arent enough.

green tea doesn't really ameliorate the fact that the meal is high in cholesterol. There's no telling if a "skinny" individual or an "overweight" individual would be at a higher risk for heart disease. Drinking green tea doesn't alter the fact that excess cholesterol gets deposited in arteries.
In fact, recent studies have shown that among the leading killers of Chinese men is heart disease. In countries where there aren't as much incidences of heart disease or where the morbidity of heart disease is much lower, you'll find significant differences in diet.

yep, it's very fatty. to make then soft and smooth and not sticky, lots of oil are used, which means high cholesterol. also, it causes high blood pressure when people dip it in soy sauce! just make sure you don't eat this everyday. once in a while is okay.

Hmm it depends on the dish.
The steamed ones aren't too fatty I think.
