Does it look really bad if I drop out of Calculus BC and down to Calculus AB? This is my senior year and I`m not sure I can get a B in BC =/
Depends.
Don't you have to take AB first, before BC? Because if you just took BC w/o AB then you would be confused.

Personally, I'd rather have a higher grade in AB then have a bad grade in BC. :X Do they actually look at your courses? My friends always tell me they just look at the grades. Haha. *shrugs*
Yes, they do.
For example. if your taking 4 AP classes and you got accepted to a college, lets say University of Florida, and then later on the school year you drop 2 or 3 of those AP classes then that college has the right to drop your acceptance because then they would think that you only took those AP classes to look good on your transcript.
When I went to high school, if I got a C in a AP class, then I actually got a B compared to regular classes. Dunno why but that's how it worked at my school. Plus a C isn't that bad in a AP class, unless your gpa is low. Just make sure you pass the exam so you wouldn't waste you time like I did. -.-

I know this is not very good advice.., but I think you should just try a little bit harder. Get a study guide book? It really breaks it down to the sped level. (I use Princeton Review to understand the harder concepts.) Obviously, if you are taking BC, you have the potential.

Anyway, i don't think it look bad if you get a c on your report card. College knows that it's an AP class so they don't just look at the grades. They would weigh it out and all. Plus, if you stick to it, it makes you look good b/c you didn't take the easy way out and trie hard in that class. Although if you had a D or F then you should drop out.

But anyways, I don't think you should drop out. =X Well if it will impact your grade a lot and make a big difference to your whole college application, then you should. But it looks weird if you drop out at this time, and it's not only about getting a good grade in an AP course, colleges also look to see that you took an AP course because it would be a challenge for you, and you made it through. So dropping the course would be beside that point.
I say... stay and try a little harder. :] Even if you can get a C stay in. A C in an AP course really isn't bad... xD

From what I heard, BC is harder than AB....Considering that AB is also an AP class, as long as you can keep getting 92+ grades in AB, then I think it's ok....
Of course BC's harder lol. I don't think it will look bad, as long as you don't drop out of Calculus as a whole. Make sure you notify the colleges though if you listed BC as your planned course for both semesters. I think the UC system sees it as dishonesty if you drop BC without telling them.
