I've already looked at the Accepted thread, but alot of those scores are from the old SAT, and I'm not sure if those GPAs are weighted or not. Gachk.
Anyways, I took my last (or at least I think it's last) SAT in October and after independently studying like helll for it, I got the same score I did on my second try: 1780. Wow. I know.
My mother has been pestering me alot lately since she wants me to attend UC Davis, but I really don't know where I stand. I've been telling her that I improved for sure, and now....how do I tell her I got the same score?
Can I get in with a 1780 SAT I score? My GPA is 3.8 weighted, and I've been taking honors classes ever since 9th grade. My extracurriculars include: 150 hours community service, as well as 4 club officer positions (including senior year). I've also done LINK (upperclassmen help freshmen get aquainted with school) for 2 years.
I know I can get into Merced, but my parents probably won't let me. My friend knows someone who got into UCD, but rejected from UCM. Weird stuff like that.
Any input is appreciated. Thanks SO SO much.

First of all, don't be too discouraged by your SAT score. It doesn't determine everything; and your other stats seem great.
I don't know what your verbal + math scores are, but UC Davis' average is about 1160 (V+W--writing counted separately); that means your score can be higher, or a little bit lower and you're still in the ballpark.
however, even if you didn't hit that average, the rigor of your academic schedule as well as your gpa are equally as important as your sat score. since you said you have been taking honors since 9th grade and your gpa is great with a 3.8, that will certainly give you an advantage despite your SAT score.
there's no "minimum" SAT score required to get into college for a reason; colleges look at the whole package. if you express in your application essay that you're a character that UC Davis really wants at their campus, then you'll be fine.
sorry i couldn't help much, but all i can say is don't worry. i don't think UC Davis will reject just based on your SAT scores, and if they do, then they're missing out. Good luck! I'm sure things will be fine.

As far as I'm concerned, you're standing up there somewhere in the higher part. Send in your apps early and I'm sure you'll get a place somewhere. DEFINITELY. Your community service is awesome and your GPA is pretty good for a person who's done so many things in HS.
The admissions office won't totally base everything on your SAT score. They'll look at your activities, etc. ^___^;
G'luck.
