Ok, due to some problems...yeah my grades went from A's and B's to almost straight C's except for one A- in economics. I only have a total of four classes this year and of those four, i have 3 C's for my final grades. My question is: Do colleges mainly look at the first term of senior year? Or will they look on after to see if you've improved (i'm planning to get everything cleared and just settle down and work hard).
I'm really worried over this =T

Do Colleges Only Look At... first term grades?

I might be wrong but I think colleges will only look at your first semester grades. As long as you don't FAIL (lower than C), i don't think it will be THAT bad. try to raise it to Bs atleast

aren't they suppose to looka t the final grade per term except for senior year it's first semester. They want to see you improving. Secondly, last term outweighs 1st term because 1st term will always be easier than 4th. =)

Well... think about it; if colleges didn't want to see your second semester grades after you get accepted, which senior out there wouldn't blow off schoolwork at the end of the year?

They look at both semesters eventually I think just to make sure you're not completely blowing everything off.

^ Colleges don't care about your report card. The only thing that matters is your final semester grade which will be on your transcript.
You'll get your first one at the end of the semester.
You'll get your first one at the end of the semester.

Apparently, when you get your applications in, they'll look at grades from freshmen year to junior year.
BUUUTTT that doesn't mean you can slack in senior year.
For instance, you'll get in a college.
But they might pull you out if you don't keep your grades up in high school. =__=; And yeah, they look at the semester grade...and your GPA. Keep up the work! Don't be too worried.

But you don't know if your grade will stay as an 85 by the end of the semester. Your final 2 grades for the class include however many 6/9 weeks you have and your semester grade.
Me: 9 weeks + 2 + mid term/semester final x100/whatever that number is divided by 3
=
Final transcript grade.
