University/college Class Sizes Preference?

Personally I enjoy and learn far better in classes of larger sizes (700-1000) as opposed to some of the smaller classes I have.
Firstly, its easier to stay awake
and
Secondly, It actually feels different from highschool.
I really did not like the highschool setting, really boring and linear. So I prefer the larger classes and actually learn better. Any class that is similar to the classes in highschool is too much for me to handle and i often go off into a daze or day dream.

But for language classes, I prefer really small classes, like 8-10 people.

i know that i can't learn well in a lecture hall with 300+ students.
i went to a small private school with the most student in one class is like... i think... 33. just a normal size high school class.
this was because i know that i need more room and a teacher's attention. i need the teacher to pick on me to keep me on my toes and all. and i know that if i go to a huge size room.. i would just sleep. which i do very well.

Most of my lectures are ~75-300 people. I don't really care how many people there are though. Last year I liked the big lectures. But this year, I don't really like the prof's lecturing style, so I like my smaller lectures better.
Tutorials, however, I like smaller classes. By smaller, I mean 15-20 people. None of my tutorials are that small. But especially with attendance and participation marks, I feel that smaller classes let me contribute more without feeling stupid or falling asleep.

but personally...i like small classes that are 20-40 people.
you can really get to know your classmates and meet new people.
and you get to know your prof better too.

i enjoy both classes so i really think it depends on what class that is...i think i prefer the bigger crowd though. sometimes in a smaller class, there's always that one student who jst thinks he or she knows everything and it annoys everyone..in a bigger class, that annoying know-it-all can be easily drowned out
the power of your intense fragility: whose texture
compels me with the colour of its countries,
rendering death and forever with each breathing

When I'm in a big class, I can't learn much per say. Maybe it's because the teacher's lecturing style. It's way more noisy sometimes. I can fall asleep a lot easier, which is not good. I don't mind attendance, I mean I'm paying for it so I'm going to it.
About 50 or less people is what I would consider small. About 100 or less is medium. Right now I'm doing good in these small classes, A's and B's, while in my bigger classes I have D's, I might fail it too. T.T
I guess I just learn better in smaller classes than huge ones. But it's my first year so it could change.

I had a small Calculus I - III class. I had A-'s, B's and C's on exams but he gave me an A for Calc I - III. Mostly because the instructor knew I was trying my best. I'd show him my work, go to his office and ask questions, show him what I was doing.
He'd have a thing where we go into this one room an hour early before class. And we'd go through a lot of the problems.

though the more people there are, the better the chance of there being more cute girls
