Hi...
so I'm trying to write my college app essay and it's about the things I do at church and it's not really religious . . .
but i'm wondering if admissions officers don't like to read essays that are religious (for those schools that aren't like christian schools, etc.)
do you still think i should write my essay on this topic, or should i change it?
help needed thank you!

well don't get into the religious part because sometimes it may seem like you're persuading someone to convert to your religion. But if you steer away from that and talk more about your devotion, etc. then it's ok.

Don't be shy to show that you're religious. In fact, it might even be a plus if you manage to show who you are personally. There was this one girl who wrote about how she meditated between Western Christianity and her Far Eastern culture to control her anger; she got accepted into Columbia University and the University of Chicago.
