Isn't the application deadline October 15? I was going to apply to Oxford last year, but I didn't know about the early deadline, so I missed it.

Do you do any other ECs other than Yearbook? I know of plenty of friends who applied Ivy with extremely high grades and great ECs and were rejected. Our Valedictorian got wait listed at Stanford, which is sad. I think with your grades though you'll get into a great UC, such as Berkeley (Mine) or UCLA.
I have a friend who applied Cambridge but was rejected. They were nice though, they sent back a letter detailing why they didn't admit her. I don't remember what it said though, but it had something to do with the major she chose and the credentials she turned in. She did end up going to a London School though (King's College) but it costs 50 grand a year for her parents. No scholarship.

just know that cambridge/oxford take only about a handful of americans each year. competition is fierce. i mean seriously HANDFUL. those 2 are pretty hardcore so you better have stats.
here are some other popular Brit univs. -- maybe not as "nominally elite" as camb/oxf but just as good
- University of Edinburgh (Scotland) >>>> Prince William went here
- University of Aberdeen (Scotland also??)

you're too late this year for oxford/cambridge =/ but if you're interested in any other british colleges, look them up; the international deadline is in June (although you should get things done much earlier).
i know how you feel right now, but honestly, i would stick to an american education. sure, the idea sounds great right now...but weigh the consequences out and see whether or not your british dreams are more of a fantasy or absolute reality. and american education is credited better globally; when i was talking to people in europe about british colleges, they all thought i was crazy.

Yeah too late but if you are too ashamed to say then theres no way you have a chance for Oxford/Cambridge. They are extremely selective and you have to go through an interview process and everything. And the interview process isnt to see you as a person, its to test how much you know.

Ohhh I remember reading an article about studying in Europe. From what I remember they give basically no financial aid to international students, so the majority of American students in Europe are really rich.
If you really want to study at Oxford or Cambridge, you should try looking towards a school that has a study abroad program there.
