I have a Windows XP. The bottom of my desktop where the Start button and the clock and everything is is frozen. When I put my mouse over it, it just shows the hourglass and I can't click anything. And when I minimize my windows, they just disappear instead of showing it at the bottom. But everything else on my desktop is fine.

Help?

Thanks!
Life is friggin' fantastic.

Hit control alt delete (all 3 at the same time) and the task manager will pop up. Look at what applications are running, Is there a whole bunch of them? If there is a whole bunch of them then to find out which one or combinations are freezing your task bar then close every single application one by one until you you find the one that is freezing your taskbar. Then delete or uninstall that program that is making your taskbar freeze. Most likely you have toomany applications running at one time. I always close or exit out of all of my programs immediately when i turn my computer on.

Also, a quick "reset" of the taskbar would be to go to Task manager, find the process "Explorer.exe" then end task (NOT "END PROCESS TREE")

Everything should dissapear.

Then, in Task manager, go to File>run>explorer.exe

Everything should re-appear, and your task bar should no longer be frozen.
