Synopsis:
Based on the popular video-game, "DOA" is about an annual martial arts tournament on an island where the top fighters are gathered for a series of duels to select the winner for the US$10 million prize. Among the contenders are an Asian princess, a female wrestler, a couple of thieves and the daughter of the tournament's creator.

Featuring four beautiful women who begin as rivals in a secret invitational-only martial arts contest, but find themselves teaming up with one another against a sinister force. Tina Armstrong, played by Jaime Pressly, is a superstar in the world of women’s wrestling.

Christie, played by best-selling pop recording artist and actor Holly Valance, is a beautiful cat-thief and assassin-for-hire. Princess Kasumi, played by international fashion model and actor Devon Aoki, is an Asian warrior-aristocrat, schooled by martial arts masters. Helena Douglas, played by Sarah Carter, is an extreme sports athlete whose tragic past binds her to the remote palace in Southeast Asia where the Dead or Alive tournament takes place.

Expect lots of 'Matrix"-styled stunts, courtesy of master choreographer Corey Yuen who also directs this actioner.

Just watched this movie. Simple, predictable storyline but enjoyable to watch the effects and the girls kick some ass. Guys should enjoy this movie alot LOL.

Ayane isn't even Japanese. Kasumi is Asian but Devon Aoki is too badass to be Kasumi. Christie just... doesn't look like her, looks-wise and feel-wise. Helena isn't too~ bad and Tina actually looks like I think she should.

Just reading the synopsis I'm not even interested in the plot. Oh, and I like how they didn't even mention Ayane or her l33t ninja skills.

Oh well. I guess I should see it anyway before I judge too much.

Dead or Alive is one of my favorite games of the action/fighting genre (MK's my favorite), but I refuse to see this movie. All I see is total suck assery happening in it.

Devon Aoki should be Ayane and the actress who's currently playing her should be Hitomi because she's White/Asian (Norweigan and Filipino) like the character (even though Hitomi's German/Japanese).

I hate how they cut out some of the characters. Jann Lee? Lei Fang? Brad Wong (not very important but I love him)?

I can't believe they even made the movie. The video game didn't really have a story to begin with. And honestly the poster looks like a cover for a porn video.

They should of at least made ryu hayubasa as the main character. Not the rip-offs of Charlie's Angels.

I just watched, acting was ehhhhh obviously, but it's really just about the action scenes good fighting choreography though. The movie poster IS ugly.

Horrible movie with no substance at all. I thought it was a waste of time and money, although the fight scenes caught a little of my interest. lol. Other than that, the plot was lacking heaps, and the acting sucked big time.
