I just want your opinions. Gotta let it out. Well, how do i put it? Okay, I have this one class, Field Production & Techniques with this lecturer. Everything is really fine actually, but when it comes to doing our assignment which is 3 movies assignment..yup, making movies. Well, so she asked us to hand in a treatment for her (a sort of short synopsis of your storyline and all). I handed in with a few classmates. So first it started like my friends got their treatments back, and I didn't get of course. I was like huh? Probably she was like busy. So I just waited. The deadline is like in a few weeks time. Then when she gave me back, when i gotten it, i was expecting some feedback from her. but i didn't although i asked.
The time when she said she promised to email us the location release form, we didn't get it from her, so, one of our friends managed to get her on MSN, and get it from her. Then the time, we made an appointment to see her at college, she didn't even bothered to tell that she took a MC. I tried to understand, probably she's tired because she is doing some freelancing producer job outside, but everytime i get disappointed. I don't get her to give me any feedback, or anything about assignment. The way she work things out is definitely different... I'm feeling so stress coz I'm really stressing on my assignment, I'm a perfectionist in a way. I guess I prefer some feedback, maybe get some motivation to continue. She's very conversational in her lecture though, coz she has alot of experience but when it comes to this, I feel frustated really.
I even had nightmares that she rejected my ideas, it's really that bad. But I rather have her critic my stuff and let me learn that way.

Most professors are either two things: Have great experience in the field they're teaching, but NO experience in teaching or great experience with experience in teaching as well. Ur professor seems to be in the first category and those kinds are obviously REALLY hard to deal with...especially if ur a perfectionist. Personally, I wouldn't stress it because I bet everyone else in the class is in the same state as u and if everyone's like that in the class then the professor should definately grade VERY easily with everyone's assignments concerning the circumstances that occurred during the assignment.

The thing is my classmates seem so relax, I think probably the problem lies on me not the lecturer. Being a perfectionist I guess made it seem worse, but actually it's not. lolz.
well.. I got her to look at my video the other day, and she thought me a trick or two. so yeah, it's progressing so far. Sometimes, you've got to catch them at the right time I guess.
^thanks ya..

i totally know where how you feel. my business teacher is like that. there are 7 groups in our class. we are group #6. when he goes around the room and talks to each group he always just skips right over us and we're like wtf?! he never gives us any feedback but he talks to all the other groups for the whole class. it makes us pretty frustrated because this project is our whole grade and we'd like as much help as possible. in the beginning when he was hearing all the ideas he told certain groups that their idea was bad and what not and gave them suggestions. well since he always skipped over our group and we tried to catch him at the end of class he didn't really care so he just said "yea that's a great idea." and so we spend the whole week researching and planning and made this whole presentation on our idea. so when it's time to present he likes everyone's idea but when we present our idea he rips it to shreds. he critiques every part of it and says how it pretty much sucks. so we're all embarrassed because he pretty much rejected our idea in front of the whole class. i feel that the other groups in my class have an advantage over us because they have all this help from the professor but the professor doesn't give a crap about our group. oh well semester is over and our project is done with. now i'm just waiting to see how badly we did.

Sounds like you have the same problem. Sometimes we have just got to find our way in. Somehow. lolz. I guess my lecturer is improving in a way. I wish you luck.
