In the 80's, girls spent their teen years believing that virginity and purity were a woman's virtue. In the 90's, they spent their 20's exclaiming that in order for women to become equal with men, they had to be independent. Then reached their 30's.. thinking that the "big party" (the prime of their lives) was over. Now they begin to realize- from where men sleep (or who they sleep with), from men's competitive nature- what successful liberation is. They learn that trifling matters can be cool. Sometimes it's ok to be mean without giving it a second thought. One can let go of all the money, power, success and still be strong... getting married isn't some homework one has to do. It's great if you marry, and if you don't... ultimately it's a choice...
This is the pattern of life for the 30 year old spinster for the past 21 years. This is the happy, single, golden season of the life she chose.

Single woman in her 30's... love is like a never ending spring day to them too. A little too old for living recklessly and adventurously, yet young enough not to simply settle down and lead a peaceful (boring) life. Having passion still left in them, yet knowing too much about the world to blindly follow their passions alone. Standing at a major crossroad in their lives... choosing to remain forever single, or to ride the last wedding train. These 30 year old single women, however, still dream about the love as they have always been. Beautiful as ever, this is their story...
At thirty-three, even though the "prime of their lives" may now be over, just like in sketches or portraits, these women are as usual waiting for spring on a beautiful day like today.

Synopsis:
Oh Dal Ja, 33 years old... single. And still waiting for her 'prince' to come. She works as an MD of a home shopping tv show. She has everything... money, power and success. The only thing she dreams about is marriage. Then she meets flirty guy, Shin Se Do, who seemed nice to her. After seeing how Se Do flirts with Yee Son Ju, the host of the home shopping tv show, she seeks revenge. Kang Tae Bong, who has a mysterious past, pretends to be her boyfiend and signs a dating contract with her. But then again, who is this Um Ki Jeong that seemed to be the perfect gentleman? An enterprise representative.. rich, goodlooking, intelligent and courteous. Three men, one woman.. who will win Oh Dal Ja's charm? Who will end up as her 'knight in shining armor?'

KBS 관계자는 22일 오후 "채림이 이 드라마에 주인공으로 캐스팅됐다"며 "23일 첫 대본 연습을 할 예정이다"고 밝혔다.

'오달자의 봄'은 홈쇼핑에서 근무하는 노처녀 '오달자'를 중심으로 벌어지는 이야기. 채림은 주인공 '오달자'로 등장, 전성기 당시의 발랄한 모습을 선보일 예정이다.

thx. i just read the news too. the drama's about CR's character's relationship with 3 guys. i just hope they'll do a better job explaining all the relationships........unlike the job they did with OPSBSY. the male leads have not been decided yet. i'll hold off on my excitement until her male leads are announced. i'm still happy to hear that she's coming back to k-drama. finally, there's something to look forward to.

채림은 4일 오후 경기도 수원 KBS 세트장에서 내년 1월 3일 방영될 '오달자의 봄'(극본 강은경ㆍ연출 이재상) 성공 고사를 지냈다. 채림은 '오달자의 봄'으로 2004년 11월 종영한 KBS 2TV '오필승 봉순영' 이후 2년여 만에 안방극장에 복귀한다.

이날 고사장에는 채림을 비롯해 이혜영 이현우 이민기 김영옥 공형진 등 드라마 출연진이 모두 모여 무사 촬영과 시청률 대박을 기원했다.

'오달자의 봄'은 홈쇼핑에 근무하는 노처녀 오달자를 중심으로 벌어지는 사랑 이야기. 채림은 주인공 오달자로 등장, 활발하고 건강한 모습을 선보일 예정이다.

This just came to mind:

The drama is roughly about planning a revenge on a man who is a player. Part of the revenge is by starting a contract dating. (I’m guessing Dal-Jah’s ex-boyfriend cheated on her so she’s trying to plan a revenge on him by signing a fake contract with Tae-Bong to pretend to be lovers or something). ChaeRim comes out six years older than MinKi (this is true in real life as well).

As pointed out by purpletiger86, the contract is a dating contract, not a marriage contract.

What makes the drama interesting is the point with supposedly all of Tae-Bong's flaws from what was translated of the character description, is why would Oh Dal Ja go into a contract w/ him? especially if she's trying to get even? I believe this is what makes this particular drama unique, considering the male lead isn't your typical "leading man"...I guess it gives hope to all the average and less than average looking and competent guys out there the chance that they, too, can have a romance with a beautiful lady. And I think it also must be asked, why for a guy who has hardly anything going for him in terms of looks, competancy, to behave in such a manner that equals and surpasses/over the top the behavior and characteristics of the stereotypical "male lead"?

right after he came back from Thailand, or about several days later after he posted the pics of him from his vacation in Thailand, which was after Chuseok, Min Ki's cyworld's background completely altered...everything was gloomy and black and the only music playing was the song title along the lines of "Give Up Your Hands". Many parts of his cyworld were unavailable, previous messages left by friends and co-stars were no longer there, he left a one word message "Karma" and "Today is...즐거움". Those who have visited Min Ki's cyworld before have always commented on his great selection of music, even Eugene commented so, but now the only one on his playlist is Ozzy Ozbourne's "Goodbye to Romance"...Choi Ja Hye, not long after this incident, wrote a message of encouragment to him on his cyworld.
