Hey, i'm looking for some good korean emo-esque type bands, not really like nell, more underground, like bright eyes, or something. something whiney, if it exists...lol if anyone has any suggestions or can send me songs, cuz it really is hard to find. thanks, i searched the forums but didn't really see any similar topics. thanks.

Off the top of my head, try Hollow January. They're more screamo but they're amazing. There are a lot more emo bands but I have trouble remembering who's emo and who isn't. Popstore has gone emo I know. I think the Strikers are emo too.

Why wouldn't there be emo? It became so trendy in the US it had to make it here.

In order to become mainstream in Korea you have to be willing to sleep with a producer. I'm not sure if any of the emo bands here have that in them.

As I heard, Hollow Jan full length album will be released at December.

Personally, I'm very hyped about their music, because their live was really crazy screaming thing.

And personally, I recommend Bloody Cookie single - mini album very highly. I'd copy & paste description about their music from my store site.

-----------------------------------------------------

Bloody Cookie is 4 women band, who is playing mixture of Gothic Metal - Grunge - Nu Metal influence.

2nd. Mini single is somewhat different from 1st. single. More melodic, little bit less dim & dark. But it doesn't mean their music is another TV rock style. They are still walking in the line between Dark & Heavy - Mellow & Light, and it makes their music very special & unique. Their 2nd. work is another good successful job, walk in the middle of Heavy & LIght. And guitar riffs are more embossed, sometimes old school Metal Style, and it could appeal to even Pure Metal Fans. You might not find similar style to Bloody Cookie very easily, not only for Korean Rock but also for Western market.

Purchase : http://www.mrkwang.com/-strse-1575/CD--cln...okie/Detail.bok

-----------------------------------------------------

Dear admin, if I can't post purchase link to my store, please let me know. I'd edit it.
Hi. I'm mrkwang who runs mrkwang store, which sells Korean DVD / CD abroad.

All 3 be found on z-degrees

A good band if you're into emo would probably be Same Old Story.

I can't believe we all forgot Same Old Story. They are the most quintessential emo band in Korea.
