I'm new to learning about the Korean language, culture and foods but I know for a fact there are things I enjoy. Are there any milder foods I should start on before trying yook kae jang again?

Yesterday some of my co-workers brought in some leftover lunch from the restaurant they went to. The yook kae jang (spicy beef soup, correct?) was way too spicy for me and I almost keeled over.

hmm well normally when you go to korean restaurants, they ask you how spicy you want it? hmm... i guess you can try a mild soondooboo? and get used to ramyun? hmm.. there's also pibimbap.

Omg, I love yook gae jang <3 But I can't eat spicy things too. I can't even eat hot cheetos that well anymore. I think you should try cheese dduhkbohki and cheese ramyun because it's spicy but mild at the same time and bibimbap cuz they give you the hot sauce seperately like everyone in this thread said (:
