when I was 12, I did NOT have that bad typing skills. In fact, it's about the same as now, except I capitalize the words that begin the sentences

Me too! Everything I typed was abbreviated. Like I would say "u" instead of "you" or "y" instead of "why".
It's weird, but it feels weird whenever I type like netspeak language.
