I bought a new router to replace my B-Linksys 3 days ago. It's a Linksys WRT54GC (compact G-router).
It works fine during the day but it seem like every night from about 8pm - 1am, the wireless cuts off every 5 seconds and then reconnects with flaky internet connection. I am at my wits end. I'm starting to wonder if it's not the router but some other issue as my B-router also had this problem (which was why I bought the G-router in the first place).
Hardwired, the internet seems to work fine (a little shaky) during the flaky wireless periods at night.
Could anyone help?
Much appreciated.

Try a different channel on your router.
I bet your neighbor has a 2.4ghz cordless phone and likes to talk to their girlfriend from 8pm to 1am and its really interfering with your router.
Changing channels, or moving it to a different room may help.
