I'm looking for a mp3player that can read Chinese characters but is also in Chinese. (Ie the language is Chiense, the menu = all in chinese, etc). Are there any mp3 players in the states that can be switched to play in Chinese? I want to get one for my dad for Christmas and he can't read English at all.

Almost all amer. mp3 players can switch languages to Chinese.

It's really not that rare. You just have to manually switch the language before you give it to him.

Ohh most have Chinese on it? I thought it would only have the main European languages. Thanks so much

Yeah i think most mp3 players can switch from Eng to Chinese, my old mp3 player could do that.
It's a Samsung YP-U1X, which is black and can hold only 512mb. I think it's around $79.99. There's a white version of it too that can only hold around 1 - 2GB, around $100.
Also, i think that it can't read Chinese, Korean, etc characters in song titles.
