Girls' Generation's "The Boys" on UK's "The Guardian"

On March 14, UK’s “The Guardian” introduced readers to “The Boys” by Girls’ Generation on its “Now listening: reader playlist” section, where it invites a reader to share the songs he/she has been listening to. This week’s guest reader/writer, Kieron Casey, who hosts a show on a local community radio, introduced not only one, but two K-Pop songs to “The Guardian’s” readers.

Casey wrote, “Girls’ Generation, having already conquered Asia, are currently taking first steps to cracking the west with their latest single The Boys. Eschewing the standard four-member lineup of typical girl groups, Korea’s finest boast nine impeccably groomed, perfectly pitched and exquisitely choreographed young ladies who deal exclusively in hypnotically catchy numbers.” He continued, “Less a band, more a force of nature.” Casey also introduced T-ara’s “We Were in Love.”
