The Only Place to Purchase GD & T.O.P’s Japanese Debut Album "Oh Yeah"

According to YG Entertainment, “Oh Yeah” was supposed to be released in Japan last November, but due to a series of scandals involving Big Bang, they postponed the release indefinitely. YG Entertainment told Star News, “The album is out but we have no plans for GD & T.O.P’s promotional activities in Japan. Since it’s the 15th anniversary concert, we’ve decided to release a limited edition album just for the fans that have shown us so much love over the years.”

2NE1, SNSD, and Wonder Girls at Forefront of U.S. K-Pop Invasion

K-Pop girl group’s representing the top three entertainment agencies in Korea (JYP, SM, and YG Entertainment) plan to release their albums one after the other in United States beginning this January. Together these three girl groups will be taking on the US market soon. The drive to breakthrough into the world’s largest music market has always been there, but up until recently the attempts haven’t yielded the desired results. As the popularity of K-Pop has grown throughout the world, the chances of K-Pop doing well in the western world have increased. Some argue that now just might be the right time for K-Pop to take off abroad.

Will.I.Am: “2NE1 Is Coming Out Crazy”

We’ve heard for some time already that 2NE1 and Black Eyed Peas’ rapper/producer Will.I.Am are working together for the group’s U.S. debut album. So far, it has only been reported that they’ve finished producing about 10 tracks in total, but no official word has come out from either party.

YG Artists Perform 41 Songs at “YG Family Concert Japan”

On January 7 and 8, YG Entertainment held its “15th Anniversary YG Family Concert” in Osaka, Japan, bringing in a total of 80,000 fans to both concerts. Starring its full YGE artist list, the concert featured 41 total performances by Big Bang, 2NE1, Se7en, Gummy, Tablo, Psy, as well as old-school hip hop group, JinuSean.

YG Family Concert in Japan Expected to Make $26 Million USD

YG Entertainment’s two city concert in Japan expected to pull in more than 30 billion won ($2,600,000 USD) in revenue. YG Entertainment is preparing for their YG Family 15th Anniversary Concert that is to begin this weekend. The YG Family will be performing at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan on January 7 and 8 in front of an anticipated crowd of 80,000. The same is estimated for the shows scheduled for January 21 and 22 at the Super Arena in Saitama. In total 16 million spectators will be in attendance for the two city tour.

MTV Style Picks 2NE1 as “Top 12 Girls to Watch in 2012”

MTV Style has named the “Top 12 Girls to Watch in 2012” and 2NE1 was the only K-Pop group to make it to the list! On January 2, MTV Style put together a top 12 list of “It” girls from around the world. They described 2NE1 as: “K-Pop has picked up an insane amount of steam domestically between Girls Generation and 2NE1, with both of their major stateside performances eliciting an inexplicably bananas amount of crowd support. We’re keeping our eyes glued on 2NE1 as the new year progresses, namely because of their bestie collab status with our beloved Jeremy Scott and their enviable collection of high-drama streetwear like JoyRich.”

2NE1’s Dara Faces New Year with a Fresh Start

Sandara Park looked back at the passed year and shared her impressions with fans on her me2day.
