SM Entertainment’s decision to not sign any contestant from SBS “K-Pop Star” has been at the center of controversy lately. After JYP Entertainment signed the show’s winner Park Ji Min, SM Entertainment made it public that they had no intention of signing any contestant from “K-Pop Star.”

On May 22, YG Entertainment posted on its official blog a photo with the names of Lee Ha Yi, Lee Michelle, and Lee Seung Hoon. The photo also had mysterious question marks, indicating two more SBS “K-Pop Star” contestants would soon sign a contract with YGE.

Baek Ah Yeon revealed that during her Top 3 perfomance on "SBS K-Pop Star," she had a feeling that she would be eliminated. Baek Ah Yeon recently came out for the recording of SBS "Strong Heart" and talked about how she sang 2AM’s "I Did Wrong." She expressed her disappointment in her last performance and being eliminated.
Baek Ayeon Dropped from "SBS K-Pop Star"
For “SBS K-Pop Star” we are finally at the finals and down to only two contestants! Baek Ayeon was dropped from the April 22 show. Lee Hai and Park Ji Min made it to the finals! It appears that next week we will finally see an end to the rivalry between the two vocally talented contestants.

It was reported on April 18 that GD & T.O.P, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and Tiffany and miss A will appear on SBS audition show “K-Pop Star” this Sunday as special guests. They will team up with each of the remaining three contestants of the show, and hold collaboration stages to boom up the show which heads to its final rounds.
Baek Ayeon Recieves Highest Score on April 15 Episode of "SBS K-Pop Star"
“SBS K-Pop Star” is nearing its end. The TOP 3 contestants were reduced down to 3 for the live episode broadcast on April 15. Lee Seung Hoon was dropped while Baek Ayeon received the highest score of 290. Baek Ayeon received training under JYP and they decided that she would sing Kim Bum Soo’s classic, “I’m Missing You.” After Baek Ayeon’s performance, BoA stated, “It was so great. I like the K-Pop that Baek Ayeon sings more than when Park Ji Min or Lee Hai does. Your delivery of the lyrics was good and also your ability to get the pitch for high notes is improving in a surprising manner.”
SBS "K-Pop Star" Contestants Finally Get Free Time After 2 Months
“SBS K-Pop Star” allowed their contestants to have some free time after nearly 2 months. All of the contestants are currently living in their provided dormitories and are not allowed outside. On April 10 Park Jimin was allowed her personal time and went to her school in Daejun to meet her friends. It had been nearly two months since having her personal time since February 6.
