Jay Park’s "New Breed" Tops Hanteo Charts
Jay Park topped Hanteo Charts with his new album "New Breed." "New Breed" was released on February 7 and have sold more than 80,000 copies offline. This ranked Jay Park as the best selling artist on Hanteo Weekly Chart. Previously "New Breed" was ranked at fourth place on U.S. Billboard World Albums chart and 16th place on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart. The album’s title song "Know Your Name" also topped many Korean online music charts as well as was ranked no.1 on US itunes R&B/Soul chart and in the top 5 on Australian and Japanese itunes R&B/Soul charts.
Jay Park Proposes to Fan But Gets Rejected
Solo singer Jay Park drew laughter after he proposed to a fan as a way to convince her to get her hair cut but his marirage proposal got rejected. On the February 27 broadcast of KBS 2TV’s "Korea’s Talk Show *Hello," Mr. Choi, a father of three daughters brought forward how tough it was for him to his daughters to get a haircut.
Jay Park Is a Certified Gentleman
On February 24 a clip of Jay Park was posted on an online community board. The post was titled “Jay Park Doing Lots of Lip Sync During Waiting.” The clip showed Jay Park in rehearsals for a music show. One of the staff members dropped a script. Jay Park quickly came to the rescue and gave the script back while bowing and showing off his gentleman charms. The clip also showed Jay Park greeting and shaking hands with FT Island that rehearsed before him.

Jay Park Provides Home for His Family
Jay Park’s parents and sibling live in the U.S. and recently they came to visit them. Jay Park provided a home for them in Seoul, Seocho-Gu. It had been a long time since their parents came to South Korea. A representative of Jay Park stated, “Jay Park’s father had gone back and forth between South Korea and the U.S. occasionally. However, it has been a long while since Jay Park’s mother visited Korea. Jay Park’s sibling is planning on learning Korean.”

Jay Park Solo Concert Sold Out in 10 Minutes
Jay Park’s ticket sales for his “New Breed Live in Seoul” began on February 20 through YES24. However, within 10 minutes all of the tickets were sold out! A representative from Sidus HQ stated, “The servers almost went down because all of Jay Park’s fans logged on at the same time to get their tickets. Currently we are receiving requests of increasing the number of tickets to be sold. We have heard that there is also an online black market for the tickets.”
