Fifty-three large signboards featuring young star Ko A-ra will be installed all across Tokyo, according to the Sankei Sports on October 30.
Avex, Ko’s Japanese management agency, used the same method to promote Japanese singer Hamasaki Ayumi.
The daily also wrote that Avex will install 4m x 3m signboards featuring the smiling face of Ko to raise interest in her among the Japanese public.
Ko says she always wanted to be on one of the numerous PR signboards featuring Korean stars in Tokyo whenever she passed them by, and now her dream will come true.
"I hope Japanese people enjoy my diverse facial expressions," said the actress.
Ko has just finished the filming of a Mongolian-Japanese movie, and will appear in the SBS series "Snowflakes," which premieres November 20. In "Snowflakes," she plays the daughter of a woman who will die soon.
