First, it was Top’s “Turn It Up” that was banned due to brand names being mentioned in the song including YSL and Louis Vuitton.
Now, it’s Se7en and Shinee’s turn to get banned.
MBC’s evaluation department has declared that Se7en’s “Money Can’t Buy Me Love” and Shinee’s “Love Still Goes On” are inappropriate for broadcast due to the brand names mentioned in the songs. Se7en’s song mentions names such as Prada, Guess and Gucci while Shinee’s mentioned Facebook. These are examples of indirect marketing, which is against the rules of MBC.
It is said that these two songs will be edited and resubmitted for evaluation.
