Actress Hwang Sun Hee, who is portrayed as a black widow in SBS’s drama “Sign,” will be returning back on the small screen shortly. She has been casted in SBS’s upcoming drama “City Hunter” which is scheduled to air on the 25th of May, every Wed-Thurs night. “City Hunter,” a drama adaptation of famous Japanese comic artist Tsukasa Hojo’s hit manga, is being discussed as the most anticipated drama of 2011. The drama’s dream team is composed of SBS’s “Brilliant Legacy” and “Prosecutor Princess” producer Jin Hyuk, “Daemyul” script writer Hwang Eun Young, KBS’s “Boys Over Flowers” Lee Min Ho, and “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” Park Min Young. In the world’s first drama adaptation, the story of City Hunter, who is high-stepping and lustful but adeptly solves cases with his shrew techniques and intelligent mind, will be set in Seoul of 2011.
Hwang Sun Hee, an alumna of the Department of Theater at Sangmyung University and IHQ’s Acting Training Center C.A.S.T, plays the role of veterinarian “Jin Soo Hee” in “City Hunter.” She is a character who embodies a cold outward appearance but possesses a warm heart. As the best friend of “City Hunter” (Lee Min Ho), “Jin Soo Hee” considerately comforts “City Hunter” who is a perfectionist in terms of work but suffers from loneliness unknown to others. Hwang Sun Hee, who left a strong impression with her pure looks yet haughty and cold facial expression in “Sign”, is ready to make her next leap forward with a completely new role portrayed in “City Hunter” this time.
