Olympic champion Kim Yuna will grace the small screen every Sunday night. Her first reality show SBS’s “Kim Yuna Kiss and Cry,” the followup to “Heroes,” will air its first episode on May 22nd. The program was kept in the dark until now to allow the figure skating queen to focus on the 2011 World Figure Skating Championships. Now that the Worlds is over – she finished second to Japan’s Ando Miki by only 1.29 points – the focus has been turned to her show.
Ten stars – comprising of actors, singers, comedians, and athletes – will pair up with professional skaters to compete in ice dancing. The ten celebrity contestants are: Yunho (singer), IU (singer), Son Dambi (singer), Krystal (singer), Suh Ji Suk (actor), Lee Ah Hyun (actress), Park Joon Geum (actress), Jin Ji Hee (actress), Kim Byung Man (actor/comedian), and Lee Gyu Hyuk (speed skating World champion). Just like ABC’s “Skating with the Stars,” the show will host competitions and eliminate the pair that places last. The final pair will get a chance to perform in Kim’s ice show in August. Fans will be able to see special performances by Queen Yuna as well.
